Instagram's @ohnobravo Zooms into my kitchen to discuss the top housewife story of the week, Monique and Candiace. We go deep and talk about all of the elements that contributed to what has become one of the hottest debated housewives incidents in housewives history. We discuss the RHOP Housewives teams and their captains and who we are batting for, the slow motion stills we have watched over and over again (that was Gizelle's hand...right), the flicking of Candiaces hair being the first point of contact, and the speed in which Monique raced around the barn to continue the fight. We also get into both Chris' phone calls they receive from their wives with very different versions told, how each of the Chris' handled it noticeably differently (one misses the friendship and is embarrassed and the other makes tea and suggests a hospital visit) and the shock waves that rippled through the group. We then head South for Atlanta and somehow end up in the Arizonas with Gizelle, her girls and Daddy Graves where we get a belly full of awkward desserts and an earful of Daddy Graves' true feelings when his MIC goes hot.
We touch on the weight that has been put on Black franchises to adhere to a standard that their white counterparts don't have to and the burdens that come with that. And I share a DM from @shopwithmiaj that speaks to the Candiace v Monique situation via her own personal experience.
This episode has it all because just like Ariana and comedy, we take Bravo VERY seriously!

Join Kaya and Aaron, the hosts of @bravowhileblack and me as we discuss the Bravo universe that seems like alternate reality! We start with RHOP and the messiness of Gizelle, who takes a shot and does NOT miss, the movie-esque IG lives of Monique and Candiace (Candiace signed WHAT for Monique), RHOA and Kenya Moore, Love and Hip Hop Miami, Trick Daddy and Sunday's Eatery (will they ship to Maryland??) and being a Black Bravo Lover. We touch on the love/hate for certain signs (the producer @cbreezey is a Sagittarius), we hop back to RHOP and discuss the husbands (just combine 3 of them into 1), Chris and his Monique impression (at first I thought he meant she was a big wine drinker) and identifying with Robyn sending a text to the person you are talking ABOUT and NOT to who you meant to send it TO (I'm glad my sister in law and I recovered-sorry Boo!) We then head west and stop past RHOBH and discuss Denise's departure and the RHOBH producers that are becoming housewives that have jumped out from behind that third wall. We u-turn and head BACK east to Potomac and drop BACK in on Michael Darby and his shenanigans (there's a video Boo Boo and we are not fools), Married to Medicine, Love and Hip Hop again (WE SEE EACH OTHER VH1), and Pump rules' redacted Schroeder. We end with the Versus poll battles that sent Bravo While Black listeners into a tizzy (I'm still Team Luanne vocals over Kandi).
Kaya, Aaron and I TRULY have the best kiki as we talk about what its like to love Bravo while being Black in America!

Sit back and listen up as I talk with Mandy Slutsker from the Is This Life podcast. We talk about Mandy's early years and what brought her from Minneapolis all the way to DC and how a political candidate helped her decision, her travel all over the globe fighting for the health of children, including those with HIV, and when she first met Dr. Anthony Fauci.
We also talk what it was like growing up with a Russian father who made it to the United States, the man who contacted her father after 30 years to apologize for the part he played in her father possibly NOT making it to the US, a Jewish mother who taught her to take pride in her heritage and the sometimes overlooked similarities between black people and Jewish people.
We also get into the time she bought pet turtles from an animal trafficker and we talk a little Bravo, because that IS Real Life!

Have another cup of Mocha with me and Stephanie for part 2 as we discuss Dorinda & John, the new police dog robot (YES...a dog robot!), my love for Stephanie's friend COOK (hey Girl!) and her distain for the carton character Caillo. Speaking of characters, we discuss Ashley Darby, Monique & Chris Samuels, whose pancakes we would have eaten in Newburg and the hypocrisy of the Grand Dame at times (we love you Karen but GURRRLLLL!)
We drop back into RHOBH with Denise Richards and her former cast mates and OWN's tv show Love and Marriage Huntsville that has all the drama of housewives with faces that look like ours.
We end scratching our heads wondering about the professor Jessica Krug who pretended to be black while taking money meant FOR black people, we hit some rough waters and talk about Below Deck Sailing (congrats Padgett & Ciara), Below Deck Med (bye Sandy!) and my love of Hip Hop Chicken down in the B!

Listen in as Obi and Taria run the gamut of emotions talking about REAL life and REEL life. We talk Obi the early years and his experience at a young age existing on both sides of the tracks, the mental weight being one of few black students and the stereotypes put on him, and the fight it took (sometimes literally) to deal with those emotions along with the gas lighting therapist who shared the same hue but held the same mindset of the people Obi had to battle everyday.
We talk about his entry into the Housewives world via real life connection to Tamra Barney, possibly being ok with Linnethia Monique but feuding with Nene, and the tale as old as time...Team Denise or Team Lip Service.
We end talking RHOP, the somewhat controversial side we take Candiace v Monique (it ain't Monique) and Gizelle's triggering comment.
