Carlos shares his experiences which lead us right into the ladies down in the P, Potomac! We talk about the season and how the cast seems to refuse to even have the colorism conversation. And how frustrating that is. Carlos and I had such a good conversation and he will back after part 3 of the Potomac reunion!

In this episode, I had the absolute pleasure of talking to one of my favorite YouTubers Bondy Blue @bondyblue and what a conversation we had! We start out talking about prioritizing self-care, especially as black women and the ways in which we display vulnerability and transparency. And the work it takes to get to a place of not beating up on yourselves when we feel like we have missed the mark.
Then we get into the Real Housewives of Potomac and into ALL the things! We talk about the colorism of it all, the way in which black viewers versus black viewers watch these shows (particularly Potomac), the way in which Non-Black content creators talk about the black women on these shows and we talk about the season five reunion and the shirt seen around the world. I could’ve talked to Bondy for hours! And I made her commit to coming back.

We talk our thoughts on the ladies (who cares about a Queen of Potomac) and thoughts on the season. We also talk about the divine 9 (black sororities and fraternities) and non black people pledging them and Chy tells the story of how the hate for black hair is shown to little black girls very early in life...and the love of (light) skin. This conversation is real and raw...Chy is my girl and talking to her always feels like home.

We talk about what The Real Housewives of Potomac was actually supposed to be (Moms of Jack and Jill) and Brooke breaks down Jack and Jill as she grew up in it. Then we dabble in the season that seems to have a chokehold on us STILL and we get into what some want to avoid...colorism and the bias of some white viewers with Potomac. When I tell you talking to my girl Brooke was like chicken soup for the soul.
