Episode 517- Nosferatu (2024) Apr 21, 2025

Show notes

In this week's episode, we're discussing what I have roughly calculated as our 24th vampire movie, the 2024 Robert Eggers fim "Nosferatu." Special topics for your consideration include: a fake Dracula dick and all the things a Dracula might do with it, unfinished jokes, Skarsgard erasure, unwanted guests, being a book boy, and the things men will do.

You can look up the other 23 vampire movies we've done wherever you're listening to this, so in the meantime, get yourself some more Nicholas Hoult! He was in Episode 267- "Warm Bodies," Episode 415- "The Menu," and Episode 438- "Renfield." And, bonus! If you're a Patrón, you can listen to Episode 37 on our Patreon, "Mad Max: Fury Road."

Episode 516- Lisa Frankenstein (2024) Apr 14, 2025

Show notes

We're back, baby! Thank you everyone for your understanding, kind words, and true concern for us over the last few weeks. When we started this show a decade ago, we never imagined that we'd someday grow a community of such truly good and generous people. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

This week we're discussing the 2024 teen romance/horror film "Lisa Frankenstein" and you know how much I love teen romance! (not at all. Like really really not at all.)

If you absolutely must Diablo Cody, watch "Jennifer's Body" instead. It's Episode 107.

Re-Release- Murder Party with Justin Cimba Mar 31, 2025

Hi EMTs, no new episode this week; the explanation is at the top of the episode. We love you all dearly.

Episode 515- Leprechaun Returns (2018) Mar 24, 2025

Show notes

This week, by the sheer willpower of one listener, we are discussing the 2018 SyFy channel film "Leprechaun Returns." You'll be in a hole if I don't get me gold, etc.

Do you like cable television films? You may enjoy Episode 237- "Scarecrow." Whoops.

Episode 514- Blood and Black Lace (1964) Mar 17, 2025

Show notes

In this week's episode, we're back on our Italian bullshit with the godfather of giallo, Mario Bava, and his 1964 genre-defining film "Blood and Black Lace," a movie that contains very little of either! Special topics for your consideration include: a too-close-for-comfort ex-boyfriend, the foolish concept of a red mannequin, a cast of characters so large that we cannot possibly care if they are all murdered, and a killer who is just a real prick.

Are you a fan of giallo movies? Perhaps you'd like to hear us discuss one from just a few weeks ago that neither of us could begin to remember! It's Episode 509- "The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh."

Episode 513- Longlegs (2024) Mar 10, 2025

Show notes

In this week's episode, Nicolas Cage is perhaps at his Nicolas Cagiest in the 2024 horror/crime thriller "Longlegs" and what a treat he is.

You can catch him in practically 20% of the movies we've covered on this show, so watch some Maika Monroe instead. She's in Episode 26- "It Follows" and Episode 279- "The Guest."

Episode 512- Blood Diner (1987) Mar 03, 2025

Show notes

In this week's episode, we're discussing an often-requested 1987 horror comedy terrible masterpiece: "Blood Diner." Special topics for your consideration include: jokes that haven't aged well, upsetting lips, the pros and cons of actually just eating people, the absolute horror of topless aerobics, and...brothers? Are they brothers??

The 1980s was a spectacular time for bananas horror movies, but my favorite is and will always be "Chopping Mall." It's Episode 174.

Episode 511- Slay (2024) Feb 24, 2025

Show notes

In this week's episode, we're discussing a movie that a ton of you suggested-- the 2024 drag queens vs. vampires showdown in "Slay." Special topics for your consideration include: some anatomical confusion, moral lessons, an indifference to romance, learning a new dance, and a very very special question for a very very special listener.

This is our first drag queen feature but we have truly done like 400 vampire movies, yinz can go ahead and look them up.
