Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast

Werewolf Ambulance is a horror movie comedy podcast. Allen and Katie watch horror movies from all eras and of all qualities and then discuss them in a not-so-academic way (just as the name “Werewolf Ambulance” might imply!) and then discuss and rate them. The episodes do contain spoilers, so please watch the films before listening if that bothers you!

    Episode 37- Zombeavers (2014) Jul 06, 2015
    Show notes

In this episode, we quite frankly struggle to come up with enough things to say about the 2014 slasher/comedy "Zombeavers." Instead, we discuss important topics such as: television shows we enjoy, movies we'd like to see get made, other movies that are better than this one, the song "Your Body is a Wonderland" and we also set a Werewolf Ambulance record for the number of times that the phrase, "I don't know" is uttered in a single episode.

Did you like this movie? Tell us about it on facebook.com/werewolfambulance, on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. We'd really love to hear from you on this one!

    Episode 36- Waxwork (1988) Jun 29, 2015
    Show notes

In this episode, we discuss the absurdity and delight that is the 1988 horror comedy thriller, "Waxwork." Special topics for your consideration include: the rise & fall of Billy from "Gremlins," oddly-named Draculas, gin Gimlis, the trustworthiness of women named after countries and--AGAIN--terrible cops! We may as well change the iTunes description of this podcast to "an analysis and critique of police work in the modern horror film." God, horror cops are the worst.

Do you love this movie? We hope you love this movie. Tell us about it on facebook.com/werewolfambulance, Twitter @werebulance or Instagram @werewolfambulance.

    Episode 35- Neon Maniacs (1986) Jun 22, 2015
    Show notes

In this week's episode, we are joined by our friend Josh to discuss the 1986 cult classic "Neon Maniacs." This episode produces more questions than it does answers, such as...what is a Neon Maniac? Where did they come from? Why do they live near the ocean if water will kill them? What do they talk about during the day?... and so on, and so forth. Other important topics include: Benjamin Button disease, possible repercussions for disrespecting 80's movie punks and yet another glimpse into the world of ineptitude that is being a cop in a horror movie.

If you like Josh as much as we do, check out his podcast "The Ungodly Warlocks" and his blog http://lendmeyoursteelbearinghand.blogspot.com/

As always, you can find us on facebook.com/werewolfambulance, Instagram @werewolfambulance and Twitter @werebulance. Let us know what you thought of this movie! Did you think it was nutbar as well? What other movies would you like to see on Werewolf Ambulance?

    Episode 34- Candyman (1992) Jun 15, 2015
    Show notes

EMTs, do us a favor. Plop yourself in front of a mirror and repeat five times: "Werewolf Ambulance.... Werewolf Ambulance..." and wait for us to show up because we are talking about the 1992 thriller "Candyman" this week! Special topics for your consideration include: Tom Savini Thigh Watch 2k15 (please use the hashtag #saviniwatch2k15), smoking, the return of bugs in toilets, more smoking, an unexpected appearance from Benjamin Franklin, big projects in academia, Bloody Mary vs. the Pig Woman, BEES, and finally more smoking. Ohh, delicious smoking.

Hey, a special thanks to Fright Hype/Crypt TV for the shoutout on their episode. Check them out at facebook.com/CryptTV.

You can find us on the internet too-- facebook.com/werewolfambulance, Twitter @werebulance and Instagram @werewolfambulance. Let us know what you thought about this film and as always, please send us your recommendations...we love to hear from you guys!

    Episode 33- The Craft (1996) Jun 08, 2015
    Show notes

Light as a feather, stiff as a board: it's time to talk about the 1996 witchcraft thriller "The Craft." Topics of importance include attempts to contact rock legends via a ouija board, the age range of people who can play high school students, Fairuza Balk being turned up to 11, an unhealthy enjoyment of smoking and the fact that maaaaybe juggalos aren't so bad.

We know a lot of you love this movie--tell us all about it on facebook.com/werewolfambulance, or on Twitter @werebulance or Instagram @werewolfambulance. Please also keep your recommendations coming! We always love to hear from you.

Episode 32- Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988) Jun 01, 2015
    Show notes

By popular demand, we are digging into the seventh installment of the "Friday the 13th" series, "The New Blood." This 1988 slasher has it all: kicky boots and cheap pearls, weird psychiatry, Patrick Swayze's hair, corpses that relocate regularly, telekinetic battles and the unofficial King of the Horror Con: Kane Hodder.

Did you like this movie? If so, did you like it for any reasons other than cool skeletal Jason? We'd love to hear from you! Get in touch with us at facebook.com/werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. This was a listener-recommended film and we love doing those. Let us know what you'd like to hear as well!

Episode 31- All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006) May 25, 2015
    Show notes

In this episode about the 2006 teen slasher "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane," we manage to talk about pretty much every other movie we could think of that wasn't "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane" including but not limited to: "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Antichrist," "The Craft," "Hellraiser," and "Friday the 13th." Does that mean we weren't so into Mandy Lane? You'll have to listen to the episode to find out!

What did you think about this movie? As always, we love to hear from you. Tell us at facebook.com/werewolfambulance, Twitter @werebulance or Instagram @werewolfambulance.

    Episode 30- Office Killer (1997) May 18, 2015
    Show notes

This week we are joined by our friend Kelly to discuss her pick, the 1997 horror-comedy film "Office Killer." Things to consider: the pleasures of email and murder, being either Molly Ringwald or Jeanne Tripplehorn as a personality test, Windexing the inside of a body and uncomfortably using the word "sidepiece."

Have you seen this movie? Did you like it? As always, we love to hear what you think. Get in touch with us on facebook.com/werewolfambulance, Twitter @werebulance or Instagram @werewolfambulance.

    Show notes

In this week's episode, we break down the 1985 sci-fi horror comedy "Re-Animator." Special topics for your consideration include the fine acting of Freddie Prinze Jr., the science of reanimation, sad-looking cats, boobs, peeps, upper body day and the coolest job ever.

What did you think about this movie? As always, we love to hear from you. Get in touch: facebook.com/werewolfambulance, Twitter @werebulance and Instagram @werewolfambulance.

    Episode 28- Child's Play 2 (1990) May 04, 2015
    Show notes

In this episode we get deep into the Chucky mythos with the sequel "Child's Play 2" with such questions as "why does he need Andy?" and "is this what voodoo is?" Turns out that maybe we should have also watched the first "Child's Play" after all. Other important topics include barren wombs, shitty foster dads, sticking toys up one's butt, OSHA violations and very important Hummel figures.

Did you love this movie as much as we did? Let us know at facebook.com/werewolfambulance or on Twitter @werebulance or on Instagram @werewolfambulance. As always, we love to hear from you!
