Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 181st lesson on Pokémon biology. This lesson is all about Ampharos: the Light Pokémon and the final evolved form of Mareep. Ampharos got its name from the incredibly bright light that emits from its tail. It gets so bright that you can apparently see Ampharos’ light from space! Imagine being crazy enough to test that out. And there’s more to learn about Ampharos, including its Mega Evolution, so make sure you’re taking good notes!

180: Flaaffy Apr 03, 2024

Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 180th lesson on Pokémon biology. And in today’s lesson, we will learn about Flaaffy: the Wool Pokémon and the evolved form of Mareep. This cute electric type isn’t quite as fluffy as its pre-evolution. Storing too much electricity has resulted in Flaaffy losing most of the wool on its body. But Flaaffy’s rubbery hide keeps it from electrocuting itself! Talk about innovation, right? And there’s more to learn about Flaaffy, so make sure you take good notes!

179: Mareep Mar 27, 2024

Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 179th lesson on Pokémon biology. Today’s class is on Mareep: the Wool Pokémon. And what do that wool do? Let me tell ya! Mareep’s wool stores electricity. The friction of the wool rubbing together causes a static charge. And the more electricity it has, the fluffier it gets! I know it’s tempting to run up to the nearest Mareep and bury your face in its wool… but you might get shocked. You’ve been warned! There’s so much more to learn about Mareep, so strap in and take good notes!

178: Xatu Mar 20, 2024

Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 178th lesson on Pokémon biology. And this lesson is all about Xatu: the Mystic Pokémon and evolved form of Natu. If you’ve ever seen a Xatu, you might notice they don’t move much. Many theorize that Xatu can see the future and past simultaneously and remains unmoving due to fearing its visions of the future. Xatu is burdened with much knowledge, so make sure to give them some extra love & care! And there’s much more to learn about Xatu, so please take detailed notes!

177: Natu Mar 13, 2024

Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 177th lesson on Pokémon biology. Today’s lesson is on Natu: the Tiny Bird Pokémon. Despite being a psychic/flying type, it doesn’t do a whole lot of either. Natu mostly stays on the ground, but it does sometimes hop onto branches to peck at tree shoots. More of a hopping type than a flying type really. New typing discovered! And there’s even more to learn about Natu, so take plenty of notes!

176: Togetic Mar 06, 2024

Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 176th lesson on Pokémon biology. And this lesson is all about Togetic: the Happiness Pokémon and evolved form of Togepi. And similarly to its pre-evolution, Togetic is all about good vibes. When Togetic senses kindness in humans and Pokémon, it will shower them in joy dust. And this glowing joy dust is filled with happiness! But if Togetic is ever around unkind folks, the vibes die down and it loses energy. And there’s more to learn about Togetic, so take good notes!

175: Togepi Feb 28, 2024

Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 175th lesson on Pokémon biology. Today’s class is all about Togepi: the Spike Ball Pokémon. Did you think this was a Kanto Pokémon? Yeah, us too. This fairy type is a teeny little egg baby that absorbs the positive vibes of others and shares them to those who need it most. Because of this, many people believe Togepi is a sign of good luck. So if you’re planning on gambling at a casino, bring a Togepi! And students, voting for the next Class President officially ends at midnight tonight!

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 174th lesson on Pokémon biology. And this lesson is all about Igglybuff: the Balloon Pokémon and pre-evolved form of Jigglypuff. This round baby loves to sing! But Igglybuff can't go for too long or it'll start to hurt. Baby vocal chords can't handle much. Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 173rd lesson on Pokémon biology. Today’s lesson is all about Cleffa: the Star Shape Pokémon and pre-evolved form of Clefairy. Cleffa are absolutely obsessed with meteors. On nights with shooting stars, many can be found dancing in a ring. And boy do they get jiggy with it! When they’re finished dancing, Cleffa hydrate by drinking morning dew. Yum! And students, voting for the next Class President has officially begun - click the 3rd link below to vote!

172: Pichu Feb 07, 2024

Show notes

Hello there! Welcome to Professor Jacob’s 172nd lesson on Pokémon biology. And for this lesson, we are heading to the Goldenrod City Day Care to learn all about Pichu: the Tiny Mouse Pokémon and pre-evolved form of Pikachu. Unlike its later evolutions, Pichu is not very adept at using its electric powers. If amused, startled, or zapped, it will discharge electricity and probably start crying. So this little baby Pokémon definitely requires extra TLC! And students, voting for the next Class President has officially begun - click the 3rd link below to vote!
