    56 - Strangers on a Train Nov 08, 2018
    Show notes

Welcome to Episode 56 of We Watched A Thing. Join us as we catch the train, meet a weirdo, and accidentally agree to a murder swap, all while chatting about the 1951 Hitchcock classic 'Strangers on a Train'.

Strangers on a Train is a 1951 American psychological thriller film noir produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and based on the 1950 novel Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith. It was shot in the autumn of 1950 and released by Warner Bros. on June 30, 1951. The film stars Farley Granger, Ruth Roman, and Robert Walker, and features Leo G. Carroll, the director's daughter Pat Hitchcock, and Laura Elliott. It is number 32 on AFI's 100 Years... 100 Thrills.

The story concerns two strangers who meet on a train, a young tennis player and a charming psychopath. The psychopath suggests that because they each want to "get rid" of someone, they should "exchange" murders, and that way neither will be caught. The psychopath commits the first murder, then tries to force the tennis player to complete the bargain.

    55 - Halloween (2018) Nov 01, 2018
    Show notes

Welcome to Episode 55 of We Watched A Thing. Get spooky with us as we break out of a mental asylum, dress up as Bill Shatner, and get our kill on, all while discussing the brand new sequel/reboot in the classic slasher franchise 'Halloween'. Halloween is a 2018 American slasher film directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride. It is the eleventh installment in the Halloween film series, and a direct sequel to the 1978 film of the same name, while effecting a retcon of all previous sequels.[4] Set 40 years after the original film, the plot follows Laurie Strode as she prepares to face Michael Myers when he returns to Haddonfield, Illinois, after his killing spree on Halloween night in 1978. Jamie Lee Curtis and Nick Castle reprise their roles as Strode and Myers, respectively, with stuntman James Jude Courtney also portraying Myers. The film also stars Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner. If you like this podcast, or hate it and us and want to tell us so - You can reach us at wewatchedathing@gmail.com

    54 - A Star Is Born Oct 25, 2018
    Show notes

Welcome to Episode 54 of We Watched A Thing. This week we're cracking out the instruments, losing ourselves to alcohol and record labels, and pissing our pants, all while discussing the 5th remake of classic 'A Star is Born', directed by Bradley Cooper. Sidenote - When we recorded, we also forgot to plug that this week we're guesting on the incredible podcast The Countdown Movie and TV Reviews, going up against Paul and Wayne with our list of Top 10 Film Crimes. Be sure to check out their show at http://www.comicconpod.com/countdown/ A Star Is Born is a 2018 American musical romantic drama film produced and directed by Bradley Cooper (in his directorial debut) and written by Cooper, Eric Roth and Will Fetters. A remake of the 1937 film of the same name, it stars Cooper, Lady Gaga, Andrew Dice Clay, Dave Chappelle, and Sam Elliott, and follows a hard-drinking musician (Cooper) who discovers and falls in love with a young singer (Gaga). It marks the fourth remake of the original 1937 film (which was loosely based on the 1932 film What Price Hollywood?), after the 1954 musical, the 1976 rock musical, and the 2013 Bollywood romance film. Hansen, the film stars Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong, alongside Claire Foy, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Patrick Fugit, and Lukas Haas, and follows the years leading up to the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon in 1969. 52 - Venom Oct 11, 2018
    Show notes

Welcome to Episode 52 of We Watched A Thing. This week we're merging bodies with an alien fratboy, biting off some heads (but not showing blood) and NOT being a hero (but totally being a hero) while talking about the latest superhero blockbuster 'Venom'. And in typical We Watched A Thing form, we completely disagree on how good this film is, so join us for the fun! Venom is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel.[5] Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the first film in Sony's Marvel Universe, adjunct to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).[a] The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer from a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, and Kelly Marcel, and stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom, alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott. In Venom, journalist Brock gains superpowers after being bound to an alien symbiote whose species plans to invade Earth.
