Elizabeth Martinez Strauss made the bold decision to run for State Attorney in Hillsborough County after she realized that she dissented with the way that the office was not promoting transparency and fairness, which were principles she had learned and prioritized during her time at the district attorneys office in New Orleans. Not only does she talk about her dissatisfaction with the way that the position was previously being fulfilled, she also talks about how her running opponent has misrepresented his position, making her dissent with his entire platform that she previously supported.
