Thank You for sticking with me, WatchThis fans. I know it's been a little bit, but the new episode of WatchThis W/Rick Ramos is ready for your listening pleasure. This week we talk the franchise that will not die . . . 1984's Sci-Fi, James Cameron directed classic, The Terminator, as well as its superb, Cinema-Changing sequel, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. We get into a bit of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. We skip Terminator: Salvation (rightly so), all on our way to talking about this summers Terminator: Genisys. We also talk a bit about other movies in theaters, including Ted 2, Dope, and the powerful and touching new documentary, The Wolfpack. Sit back, open up a cold Guiness, and get ready for the opinions and bullshit to fly.

Once again, thanks for all of your love and support.

Sometimes the world throws you a series of curves . . . You just have to go with it. This week on Watch This w/Rick Ramos, Ramos talks new films in theaters first with the new bio-pic about Brian Wilson (founding member of The Beach Boys) Love & Mercy. Showcasing the talents of John Cusack, Paul Dano, Elizabeth Banks, and Paul Giamatti. But the real find is The Sundance Sensation Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, easily one of the better films of the year. That's what Watch This is all about - finding the gems. Enjoy the episode and thanks for the continued support.

    #067 - Dwayne "TheRock" Johnson w/Special Guest Mike Black - WatchThis w/Rick Ramos Jun 03, 2015
    Show notes

Nothing better than two chubbies sitting down to do what chubbies do best . . . No, not eat, Assholes. Talk Movies. This week My Good Buddy Mike Black stops by The Fortress of Ultimate Darkness to discuss Today's Greatest Action Star, Dwayne "TheRock" Johnson. We go over a career that includes one of our favorite films 2003's THE RUNDOWN as well as 2010's FASTER, 2013's SNITCH, and his role in THE FAST & THE FURIOUS Action Series (specifically, the ridiculousness of Vin Diesel being able to kick his ass - Sorry Vin). We also talk his new film SAN ANDREAS as well as the horrible plans to revamp John Carpenter's 80's Classic BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA. With Mike Black there's no end to topics as we also discuss MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, video games, and what we have to look foward to over the rest of the summer. This was a hell of a good time. Hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it. Many Thanks for the Continued Support.

    #066 - MadMax: Fury Road - WatchThis w/RickRamos May 28, 2015

The summer has peaked! There's no way that it's going to get better than George Miller's new masterpiece, Mad Max: Fury Road; a film so beautifully imagined that it's impossible to anticipate anything better this summer.

To talk about the new film would be impossible without reviewing the previous two films, 1981's The Road Warrior and 1985's Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Sadly, I was unable to get a hold of a copy of the original Mad Max, but I think this is a pretty interesting talk, nonetheless. Take a listen and enjoy. Thanks for the continued support.

This weeks episode of Watch This w/RickRamos is dedicated to The Great Blues Man "The King of the Blues" Mr. B.B. King who passed away last week, May 14th, at the age of 89. A whole lot of memories and clips from Richard Pearce's The Road to Memphis from the Martin Scorsese produced PBS series The Blues. Opening Song: Three O'Clock Blues. Closing Songs: See That My Grave is Kept Clean & I Like to Live the Love. Thanks for Listening and All of the Continued Love & Support.

    #064 - TheAvengers: Age of Ultron - Watch This w/RickRamos May 08, 2015

On this weeks episode of WatchThis w/Rick Ramos, Ramos talks summer blockbusters and gets into Joss Whedon's The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and - of course - THE HULK. Rick also talks Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas' 1983 moron classic, The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew and takes a moment to discuss Buster Keaton and the documentary Buster Keaton: A Hard Act to Follow. A pretty good time watching great movies. Thanks for listening.

    #063 - ALIEN/ALIENS - WatchThis w/RickRamos Apr 30, 2015
    Show notes

This week I got lucky enough to see a double feature of Ridley Scott's Alien (1979) and James Cameron's Aliens (1986) at The Historic Egyptian Theater. This was an amazing experience and one that let me see, firsthand, how incredibly different these two films are from one another. From character and story development to size and spectacle, the differences were striking. Hopefully, you'll enjoy what I saw and what I have to say. Thanks.

    #062 - Tarantino Part II (PulpFiction) - WatchThis w/RickRamos Apr 25, 2015
    Show notes

I've been threatening it for the past few weeks, but I've finally made good on my promise to tackle Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. So this week - with nothing but shit in theaters - I go into the library and talk one of the most influential films in cinema history. I go back and forty in my appreciation for this movie, and I have to admit that this hour and twenty minutes of talk don't make it any clearer . . . but it was a hell of a good time doing it. Take a listen and et me know what you think. Many, Many Thanks.
