    Show notes

On the latest episode, Scoop, Roddy, Mikey, & Jade were back at it with some really dope conversations and album reviews. They discussed G Herbo's latest effort, "PTSD", as well as Lil Baby's "My Turn". Somehow Roddy took the opportunity during the Lil Baby review to compare his album to Royce Da 5'9's newest project. Megan Thee Stallion's beef with her label was explained and explored. Jade gave the boyz some insight into a few new generation artists that she listens to, and in the weekly "Honoring" segment, Rick Ross was celebrated or his contributions to the culture. It was an overall good time, topped off with Chinese food and Henny. Enjoy!

    WASH THIS! Ep44 - "I believe him. He has a Rolex" Feb 28, 2020
    Show notes

Episode 44 finds the WASHED BOYZ coming back after an unintentional hiatus. With that said, there was plenty to talk about. Montega Jade once again joined the panel with Scoop, Mikey McFly, & Roddy to chop it up. They discussed the recent murder of rising star Pop Smoke, and the impact on the hip hop community. Royce Da 5'9's new album, The Allegory, was reviewed and debated. Eminem recently started a rap challenge on Instagram, so Scoop decided to embarrassingly give it a shot. The episode wrapped up with talks of the crew's favorite hip hop movies and the honoring of Onyx. Great all around episode. Enjoy!

    R.I.P. Pop Smoke

    WASH THIS! Ep43 - "I've had my face sucked!" Feb 07, 2020
    Show notes

In episode 43, Scoop & Mikey McFly were joined by guest hosts Montega Jade & J-Bee. Topics included Jay-Z & Beyonce not standing during the national anthem at Super Bowl LIV, Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill's recent twitter battle, Megan Thee Stallion & G-Eazy dating rumors, & MORE! In the weekly Honoring segment, the crew talked about none other than TI. Lots of laughter dominated this episode, as the guest hosts brought some great energy and Scoop & Mikey McFly argued about who's older. Enjoy!

    WASH THIS! Ep42 - "He put up 81!" Jan 31, 2020
    Show notes

Episode 42 of WASH THIS! is bittersweet. For much of the episode, Scoop, Roddy, and Mikey McFly spend time honoring Kobe Bryant, after his tragic passing. Their most fond memories of Kobe are discussed as well as his legacy. Other topics that were discussed were the Grammy Awards, most specifically their reaction to who won what, and Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill's public disagreement in a boutique store. Through all the sadness there was still plenty of insight, debates, and laughs. Much love to the families of anyone who died in the helicopter crash of 1/26/2020.

WASH THIS! Ep41 - "Ice Cube vs Will Ferrell" Jan 24, 2020
    Show notes

In episode 41 of WASH THIS!, the WASHED BOYZ were in their purest form - arguing about who's dope and who's trash. Scoop, Roddy, & Mikey McFly debated a variety of topics including Eminem's surprise album, "Music To Be Murdered By". That discussion got deep because it ventured into the territory of debating Em's status in the rap game in general. It got kinda heated. Also discussed, was Netflix show, Hip Hop Evolution, which just returned for a fourth season, A$AP Rocky and his admission the he thanked Donald Trump for assisting in his release from a Swedish prison, and more. The late, great Jay Dilla was championed in the weekly "Honoring" segment. This was definitely one of the most informative episodes of the series. Enjoy!

WASH THIS! Ep40 - "Wipe Me Down" Jan 17, 2020
    Show notes

For the Season 2 premier, the WASHED BOYZ came back with a bang after a short hiatus. Scoop, Roddy, & Mikey McFly were joined by singer, Aurora who came thru to talk some hip hop with the fellas. Topics included Boosie and his recent misunderstanding with the Kappas, Drake's Rap Radar interview, Yung Joc getting his ride share hustle on, and more. Aurora was gracious enough to bless the podcast with some of her vocal and lyrical talents, and Scoop wore a robe. Enjoy!

WASH THIS! Ep39 - "Season One Finale" Dec 20, 2019
    Show notes

It's been a long season of WASH THIS!, and the fellas decided to go out with a BANG. In episode 39, Scoop, Roddy, Mikey McFly, and Ovid The Poet invited special guest, Zu Life to the panel. Aside from being a phenomenal rapper, Zu Life is a well connected brother. He came to the show promoting Crip-a-Cola and Blood Pop sodas that were introduced to the world by Killer Mike on an episode of his show, "Trigger Warning". Since the end of the season coincided with the end of the year, the WASHED BOYZ gave their version of an award show by giving their picks for the best and worst of 2019. The categories ranged from Best New Artist to Best Sneaker. It was interesting to say the least. Here's to a very successful season and the hope to make the next one even better! Enjoy!

WASH THIS! Ep38 - "RIP Juice Wrld" Dec 13, 2019
    Show notes

Episode 38 is a very important episode. Scoop, Roddy, and Mikey McFly tackled some tough subject matter. After the untimely death of Juice Wrld, the fellas felt a responsibility to talk about drug abuse in the industry. A lot of good points were made, and anyone who has been affected by drugs or drug abuse should definitely tune in. Other lighter topics were discussed such as the ongoing battle between Nick Cannon and Eminem. Irv Gotti was honored to wrap up the episode.

    WASH THIS! Ep37 - "HOV DAY!" Dec 06, 2019
    Show notes

Scoop, Roddy, Mikey McFly, & Ovid The Poet linked up for episode 37 and spent most of the night honoring the great Jay-Z who turned 50 on the day on the podcast recording. Roddy also has a birthday coming up, so the ladies of WASH THIS! surprised with a cake as well. Albums from Griselda and Fabolous were reviewed, and Wack 100's name came up again as he's made some more controversial statements about the late Nipsey Hussle. If you're a Jay-Z fan, this episode is for you. The fellas really went hard (pause) with their HOV conversation. Pay attention, you might learn something. Enjoy!

WASH THIS! Ep36 - "Are there girls in Staten Island?" Nov 29, 2019
    Show notes

For episode 36, Scoop, Roddy & Ovid were joined by a special guest panelist, Phitted. Together the guys discussed some of the best hook writers in hip hop history. Griselda is set to drop their Shady Records debut album, so of course Scoop was hype about that. On a more serious note, the fellas shifted gears and talked about the respect a dead artist deserves in light of recent comments that Goldlink made about the late Mac Miller. In the weekly "Honoring" segment, Naughty By Nature was chosen. This episode was a really good one with some deep debates. Most importantly though, no henny was spilled this week! Enjoy!
