    Matt McGachy, the vocalist of extreme metal band Cryptopsy, interviews fellow metal musicians about their life & music while sharing a craft beer on his metal podcast Vox&Hops. Matt has been the front man of the legendary Death Metal Band Cryptopsy since 2007. With them, he has contributed to 2 full length albums, 2 EPs & toured all over the globe playing massive festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Brutal Assault, Heavy Montreal, Hell Fest & Summer Breeze to name a few. In 2018, he launched the Vox&Hops Metal Podcast which was inspired by his love of Craft Beer & thought-provoking discussions.     A conversation about how he has been coping with 2020, his 1st brews, the soundtrack of his youth, his 1st shows, how he got into screaming, being independent, shelving their new record, ZAO collab brews, being an artist & his hangover cure.


    Throughout this chat Dan was drinking "ILINOHPA" the collaborative brew made by Cinderlands & Hop Butcher For The World. This DIPA clocked in with a 8.2% ABV. He was also sipping on Anchorage Brewing Company's "10 Year". This very special brew was a blend of several vintages of different bourbon barrel-aged Stouts and Barleywines finished on coconut, vanilla beans, cacao nibs and cinnamon. It clocked in with a 15.5% ABV!!!

    &

    Matt was drinking Third Moon Brewing's "Tranquility". This Hazy IPA was absolutely spectacular. It was juicy, dank & had a mild boozy finish. It clocked in with a 8.3% ABV.

This beer was simply phenomenal. It was deliciously sweet, beamed chocolate & vanilla vibes & was ultra smooth despite its unparalleled 15% ABV!!!!

    Throughout this interview we were drinking Microbrasserie Mutoïde's "CULTE". This is one of their 1st brews. To launch they decided to go with a Kellerbier. This German inspired lager was hopped with a bunch of Tettnang Hops. It was malt forward, bready, slightly herbaceous & ultra crushable. It clocked in with a 5.4% ABV.

    A conversation about how they have been coping with 2020, their 1st beers, their collaborative brew "Black Hearts Now Reign" the Russian Imperial Stout with White Chocolate, their 1st shows, Metal Breweries & their hangover cure.


    Throughout this chat Mike was drinking Broken Goblet Brewing's collaborative brew with Unearth "Black Hearts Now Reign" the Russian Imperial Stout brewed with White Chocolate. All of the proceeds from this brew will be given to Boston's & Philadelphia's ACLU. It clocked in with a 10% ABV.


    Trevor was drinking Finback Brewery's "Rolling In Clouds" the Hazy IPA. It clocked in with a 7.1% ABV.

    Matt was drinking Broken Goblet Brewing's "Noise Reduction" the Oatmeal Stout on Nitro. This glorious Oatmeal Stout was pumped with Nitro during its canning. It had a malty bite, a smooth mouth feel & a subtle boozy finish. It clocked in with a 7.4% ABV.


    This week's Vox&Hops Unsigned Gem is Synastry. I have known these wonderful humans for a very long time. I grew up playing gigs alongside them when I was in 3 Mile Scream. Synastry sadly went on hiatus for a long period of time but now they are back!!
