I'm a firm believer of giving respect to the dog before they give it to you. It's disrespectful to put a tool on a dog and immediately use it to communicate with them. We have to show them respect and take our time.....as trainers it's our job to take the time.

This was my first time interviewing 2 trainers that work and live together and I think you will notice they are very much alike yet different. Both Mailee and Lise are working towards a common goal of better behaved dogs but sometimes the dogs react differently towards them. I think as dog owners we give affection to our dog without even realizing we are doing it. And when this happens we aren't aware that the affection we are giving to our dogs is nurturing their current state of mind. He has packed a wealth of experience in a short amount of time attending both levels of TCW, working in rescue, and working for a few different dog daycare's.
