It's March 9,1992 when 20-year-old Amy Hooper is found brutally murdered in her Columbus, Ohio apartment. Investigators gather evidence from the crime scene, including a symbolic medallion, as well as DNA evidence. Unable to match the DNA to a individual, police are left waiting for advancements in modern day forensic genealogy before they can identify a suspect. MURDERED: Eric "Nike" Jones Nov 26, 2025

It's the late night hours in October, 1995, when a lone gunman storms into a Roanoke, Virginia home, shoots 21-year-old Eric "Nike" Jones in the chest, and flees. A witness at the home of calls police but cannot provide a helpful description of the suspect, and no physical evidence is collected from the scene. But days later, the same witness is shown a police lineup, and identifies 18-year-old Michael Crump as the shooter. After a short trial, Crump is found guilty and sentenced to nearly 40 years in prison. Tune in as Maggie sits down with fellow host of "Wrongful Conviction," Jason Flom, and the two discuss the tragic murder of Eric Jones, the subsequent arrest and abbreviated trial of Michael Crump, and the continued fight for truth.

UNRESOLVED: Hae Min Lee Nov 19, 2025

It's January 13, 1999, when 18-year-old honors student Hae Min Lee disappears after leaving school. Weeks later, her remains are located in the woods of a nearby park. After receiving anonymous tips, police focus in on the ex-boyfriend of Lee, fellow student Adnan Syed. Shortly after, he is charged and convicted of murder and given a life sentence. Years later, the hit podcast "Serial" would re-examine the case against Adnan, and challenge the evidence. Friends and family of Vanessa mobilize immediately, but investigators are slow to pinpoint her final movements around the base. After new witnesses come forward weeks later authorities are finally able to locate the missing remains of Vanessa Guillen. After the main suspect in the case dies by suicide, the Guillen family is left wondering if Vanessa's recent reports of sexual harassment had something to do with her murder?
