Ohio: Tommy Boy vs Airborne vs Ghost In The Machine Jul 21, 2025

Show notes

Do movies have to be good to be good? Hell no. Our trip to Ohio proves that point over and over again as we ride the Devil's Backbone with rollerblading movie 'Airborne' and then we find all the joy in the ridiculousness of a techno-thriller that walked so 'Final Destination' could run - 'Ghost In The Machine'

New Hampshire: Jumanji vs The World According To Garp vs The Rules Of Attraction Jul 14, 2025

Show notes

What's better than one Robin Williams movie? Two, right?

WRONG.

Our return to New Hampshire was a two-for-none deal where 'The World According To Garp' frustrated us and then 'The Rules of Attraction' left a bad taste in our mouths... you could say it left us In The Mouth of Madness - which is what we should have just watched twice, instead.

Monday Rewind - California 'Challenge Episode' (With Kari Byron): Point Break vs Basic Instinct vs Blade Runner Jul 09, 2025

Show notes

After the boys all picked LA based heist movies for their first California episode, San Francisco native Kari Byron decided to bust the myth that Los Angeles is the only city in California. Her (ice) pick of 'Basic Instinct' takes a stab at the title of ultimate California movie while we also head back to the year 2019 with one of the greatest science fiction movies ever made with 'Blade Runner'. Can they topple 'Point Break' or will they be forgotten like tears in the rain?

Maine: The Iron Giant vs The Good Son vs Andre Jun 30, 2025

Show notes

Macaulay Culkin as a psycho killer?

No we don't mean 'Home Alone' - in this case he's definitely the bad son in 'The Good Son' where he tries to kill Frodo Baggins by chucking him off a cliff. Basically it's Lord Of The Rings in Maine.

But can he also take down Vin Diesel as a robot or a seal that blows raspberries? Time to find out

New York: Wall Street vs They Came Together vs New York Ninja Jun 23, 2025

Show notes

It's almost like New York City is a character in these movies - if that character was a plutonium powered sex pest, a terrible ninja who only hunts during the day or a ridiculous rom-com satire... You can say that again

Washington DC Special: Dave vs In The Line Of Fire vs Lincoln Jun 16, 2025

Show notes

We return to DC to try and topple a USofAMovie favourite - 'Dave'

On one hand we've a very young 62 year old Clint Eastwood trying to save a President from assassination with 'In The Line Of Fire' while Daniel Day Lewis and EVERY ACTOR ON EARTH give us the movie America needs right now with the criminally overlooked 'Lincoln'

Monday Rewind - Alaska: Insomnia vs Out Cold vs The Proposal Jun 09, 2025

Show notes

A movie who's only redeeming factor is that it doesn't have any redeeming factors, Betty White cultural inappropriations and Al Pacino looking the most tired anyone has ever looked? We must be heading to Alaska by way of Massachusetts and British Columbia

Oklahoma: Killers of The Flower Moon vs The Outsiders vs UHF May 26, 2025

Show notes

We return to Oklahoma and bring out the big guns of an American Classic that defines a generation and puts Tulsa, Oklahoma on the map with 'UHF'. We also have a somewhat lazy, haphazard at times confusing movie with 'UHF'... Oh yeah, and we had to watch 'The Outsiders'

Washington:- Dante's Peak vs War Games vs 10 Things I Hate About You May 26, 2025

Show notes

Nothing like the threat of Global Thermonuclear War to bring your spirits up. Instead of Oli listing '10 Things I Hate About You' to last week's Oklahoma movies, things hit a '(Dante's) Peak' with a 42 year old movie that couldn't feel more prescient - 'War Games'.

How about a nice game of chess?

Mississippi:- O Brother, Where Art Thou? vs Sinners vs In The Heat Of The Night May 19, 2025

Show notes

A musical adventure featuring The Klan, a musical, vampire adventure featuring The Klan and an Oscar winning whodunit featuring racists - we have to be honest, on paper, Mississippi sounds like it's got it's problems but BOY are these movies absolute bangers.

3 movies that go down better than Hailee Steinfeld's saliva after she aggressively spits in your mouth
