Episode 14: Jordan Jones (Reverse Interview) Everything You Need to Know About Starting a Podcast! Apr 04, 2018
    Show notes

In this week's episode we're doing things a little differently! Our guest of the week Jordan Jones of Pete & Jordan flips the script and interviews ME all about podcasting! We chat about all the tech involved, my entire process of getting this podcast off the ground, and why you should podcast to begin with.

    About Jordan:

Jordan and her husband Peter are full-time RVers, digital marketers, and believers. They started their marketing business by knocking door-to-door on a small 7-mile island and building websites for mom and pop shops. Three years later, they bartered their way through their own wedding by serving their vendors with web design, marketing strategy, and lead generation. It was then that they recognized the need for smart marketing strategies in the wedding industry, and now they spend their days helping wedding professionals and creative entrepreneurs build purposeful and profitable businesses. Jordan and Pete keep their faith at the center of their lives and business, and they're working on an app to connect Christians through prayer. They believe you can serve the Lord through your business and how you serve your clients, and they've had it on their hearts to start a podcast about "marketplace ministries". In their free time, they try to spend as much time outdoors as possible and can usually be found hiking with their german shepherd pup.

Episode 13: Eddie Edwards | A Day in the Life of a UPS Driver Mar 26, 2018
    Show notes

In this week's episode we're chatting with my father-in-law Eddie Edwards. Eddie has been a UPS driver for the past 22 years and has worked at UPS for over 30 years! In this conversation we chat all about what his typical day looks like, how technology is used as a part of his day to day work, and how he's seen the technology evolve over the past 30 years.

If you're anything like me, you probably order a TON of stuff online. It's rare that a full week goes by that some kind of package isn't delivered to our house. And honestly it's easy to forget that there is a person out there bringing those packages to our doorstep. Maybe it's just me, but I'm always curious about the nitty gritty details that go into a job like that! And that's exactly what you'll find in this episode!

    Episode 12: Davey Jones | Content Creation & Podcasting Mar 20, 2018
    Show notes

This week on the podcast we're chatting with Davey Jones. Davey is a brand and content strategist, and one half of the Davey & Krista team. After several years of teaching high school English, photographing over 100 weddings and launching the Rising Tide Society, Davey decided to make helping creatives run better businesses his full time gig.

Davey and his wife Krista specialize in helping people create purposeful brands and businesses they love through custom branding and website design, consulting, and search engine optimization.

Since building their first business they have found purposeful and fulfilling work—and a life that includes palm trees, blue skies, time with our pups, and—of course—wine and pizza.

Davey recently launched his own podcast "Brands That Book" so I wanted to have him on MY podcast to chat all about why he started his podcast, what that process was like, and how podcasting fits into his overall content creation strategy. Davey is a super smart businessman who has a lot of great insight into SEO, content strategy and building a strong brand so there is plenty to glean from this conversation.
