Show notes
As the sad news is released that Hannibal has been cancelled by NBC John and Irene, the fine young Hannibals, scream and cry but shout: #SaveHannibal
In honour of our 1000th episode we are republishing our Hannibal podcast on TV Podcast Industries where Irene and John discussed season 3 of the exceptionally good horror show Hannibal.
Its passing from NBC is regrettable but we are also hopeful that it will get a new lease of life with another Network. We also introduce another new section with “In the Psychiatrists Chair” as we discuss feedback from our listeners of the first podcast of Season 3 of Hannibal.
As always we chat about Primavera Hannibal Season 3 Episode 2 as we take a look at this episode from the (murder) Tableau through to the (dinner) Table and everything in between as we enjoy a three-course meal of the episode that has entree, main and dessert. We discuss the survival of Will Graham following the bloodbath at Hannibal’s home and the unexpected impacts of the ordeal on Will Graham. Where does his allegiances lie?! We also look at the twists, turns and possibilities of the episode as the lines between reality and consciousness are blurred for both Will Graham and the audience; we discuss the significance of broken heart (made up of Anthony Dimmond’s (Tom Wisdom) torso) tableau left, pride of place, by Hannibal for Will Graham in the Norman Chapel. We are also introduced to the discredited Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi as he tries to grapple with the reappearance of Il Mostro – the Monster of Florence. Do you feel safe?!!
Please send us any thoughts or comments on the new season of Hannibal or the episode Primavera to feedback@tvpodcastindustries.com
Primavera Hannibal Season 3 Episode 2 Podcast – Synopsis
After the horrific event that almost took his life Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) awakes from his coma and, with his wounds now healed, sets off with an unexpected companion, Abigail Hobbs (Kacey Rohl), on a search for the murderous Hannibal (Mads Mikkelsen). In search of closure Will begins to piece together evidence that leads him to Palermo Italy and to a disturbing gift – a broken heart. Drawing suspicion of the local law enforcement Will becomes embroiled in the long-standing Florentine killer investigation known as “Il Mostro“. However, as Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi (Fortunato Cerlino), who believes that Hannibal Lecter and “Il Mostro” are one and the same, tries to enlist Will to his investigation it appears that Hannibal still hold influence over Will Graham’s actions as Will becomes unsure of his own allegiances.
