#258: Everything Points to Jesus Sep 23, 2026
    Show notes

Did you know that the stories of the Old Testament were pointing forward to Jesus? In this episode of Truth Seekers: Bible Stories for Kids, we explore Luke 24:36–49, where the risen Jesus appears to His disciples and helps them understand how the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms were all pointing to Him.

From God’s promises in Genesis to the Passover lamb, the sacrifices, King David, and the words of the prophets, the Bible tells one great story of redemption. Jesus explains that His suffering, death, and resurrection were not accidents, rather they were the fulfillment of God’s rescue plan that had been unfolding throughout Scripture.

But God’s plan wasn’t finished! Jesus tells His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for something the Father had promised. What were they waiting for? Looking at Jesus’ words in Luke 24 and John 14–16, we discover His promise to send the Advocate, the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, to be with His people and guide them in truth.

This Bible story for kids will help children understand how the Old Testament points to Jesus, how Jesus fulfills Scripture, and how the promise of the Holy Spirit prepares the way for what happens next at Pentecost.

    Scripture: Luke 24:36–49; John 14:16–17; John 16:7–13

#257: Breakfast with Jesus: Peter's Second Chance Sep 14, 2026
    Show notes

What happens after Jesus’ resurrection? In this episode of Truth Seekers: Bible Stories for Kids, we travel to the Sea of Galilee for the unforgettable story of Jesus restoring Peter in John 21:1–19.

After fishing all night and catching nothing, Peter and the disciples see a mysterious man standing on the shore. When He tells them to cast their net on the other side of the boat, suddenly their net is overflowing with fish. John immediately realizes, “It is the Lord!” Peter jumps into the water and rushes toward Jesus, who is waiting for His disciples on the shore with breakfast and a fire of burning coals.

But this breakfast is about much more than fish. Beside the fire, Jesus asks Peter three times, “Do you love me?” Peter had denied Jesus three times before the crucifixion, but his failure would not be the end of his story. Jesus restores Peter, gives him a new purpose, and once again calls him to “Follow me!”

This Bible story for kids is a beautiful picture of the grace, forgiveness, and second chances we receive through Jesus. Children will learn that when we sin or fail, we do not have to run away from God. We can run toward Him, receive His forgiveness, and continue following Him.

Perfect for Christian families, homeschool Bible lessons, Sunday school, children’s ministry, Easter Bible studies, and family devotions, this episode helps kids understand Peter’s restoration, the miraculous catch of fish, and the love and forgiveness of Jesus.

    Scripture: John 21:1–19

#256: Praying the Bible (Ephesians 6:10-20: The Breastplate of Righteousness) Jun 22, 2026
    Show notes

In this Praying the Bible Episode, we learn about the second piece of the Armor of God: The Breastplate of Righteousness. The Devil will try to attack us by telling us we have sinned and are too far gone for God to rescue. But the Breastplate of Righteousness reminds us that we stand under the covering of Jesus' righteousness, not our own. Our own righteousness is as filthy rags, but Jesus' work on the cross gives us access to His righteousness that makes us right with God.
