Episode 41 | The Truth About Abortion Sep 21, 2026
    Show notes

    The Truth About AbortionP

Abortion is one of the most emotionally charged and politically divisive conversations in America, and it’s also one where misinformation spreads incredibly quickly. In this episode, we wanted to strip away the talking points and look at what’s actually true. We dig into abortion laws, viability, later abortion, medical emergencies, and several of the real cases that have dominated the conversation since the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

We also make something clear from the beginning: we are pro-life, but being pro-life doesn’t mean manipulating facts to make our side look better. If the facts challenge something we believe, we’re going to talk about it. We examine claims coming from both sides of the abortion debate, including where stories have been oversimplified, laws have been misunderstood, and legitimate concerns deserve more attention.

But this conversation also becomes deeply personal. Brittainy opens up about her own previous experience with abortion and the trauma she carried afterward. She shares a part of her story that isn’t easy to revisit and talks candidly about the emotional impact that can exist long after the procedure itself is over.

We also wrestle with where the pro-life movement has room for improvement. What does supporting life look like beyond opposing abortion? How can we better support women facing unexpected pregnancies, mothers experiencing devastating pregnancy complications, babies, and families after a child is born? And when there are problems or confusion surrounding the laws, how do we acknowledge them and advocate for improvement?

This isn’t an episode about pretending there are easy answers to an incredibly complicated subject. It’s about being willing to sit in the uncomfortable parts, challenge our own assumptions, separate fact from rhetoric, and have a conversation where compassion and truth can exist at the same time.

And make sure you stay until the very end, because there’s a surprise waiting that we’re not giving away here. 👀 You’ll just have to listen.

Episode 40 | The Truth About Lindsay Clancy Aug 27, 2026
    Show notes

Truth Moms goes full truth and nothing but the truth about a case that is almost impossible to hear without asking one question over and over again:

What happens when a mother asks for help that goes unaided? What happens when there is truly no support like the type advocated for by all moms?

Before the deaths of her three children, Lindsay Clancy’s story included months of psychiatric appointments, medication changes, worsening insomnia and anxiety, reported suicidal thoughts, crisis calls, specialized postpartum evaluations, and eventually a voluntary psychiatric hospitalization.

One thing the Brit and Court agree on: we’re not here to play judge and jury or excuse the unthinkable or diagnose a woman.

We are here to look at what happened before January 24, 2023.

Because buried underneath the headlines is a much bigger conversation about motherhood, postpartum mental health care, the medication carousel, the enormous burden placed on families to recognize a psychiatric crisis, and what happens when a mother is clearly not okay but doesn’t fit neatly into the diagnostic box in front of her.

    Where were the cracks?

Who was responsible for connecting the dots?

And how many times does a mother have to say “I need help” before the system knows what to do with her?

This is The Truth About the Lindsay Clancy Case.

Not a verdict. A truthful conversation.

The Truth About Breastfeeding: No One’s Coming for Your Formula Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

The Truth About Breastfeeding Week: Damned If You Do, Shamed If You Don’t

Welp, we did it. We called BS on perfection, and this episode might be the furthest from perfect we’ve ever been. Between breastfeeding babies, toddlers interrupting, Wi-Fi issues, PMS, and a phone literally dying mid-rant, this one is motherhood in real time.

In between the chaos, we’re diving into why World Breastfeeding Week has somehow become controversial, why celebrating breastfeeding doesn’t equal shaming formula-feeding moms, and why moms should be allowed to feel proud of what their bodies can do without someone else taking it as a personal attack. Then, because we can never stay on one topic, we get into feminism, trad wives, stay-at-home moms, marriage, and why supporting women’s choices should include the choices you personally wouldn’t make.

No perfect setup. No perfectly behaved kids. Definitely no perfectly curated opinions. Just two moms talking about the things everyone else seems to be fighting about on the internet. Welcome back to Truth Moms.

Episode 38 | The Truth About Critical Thinking : Taylor Farms, Food Safety & Parenting Polarization Aug 03, 2026
    Show notes

TM is back (for real this time) !

After juggling postpartum life, full-time work, toddlers, and home construction, Brit and Court are catching you up on where they’ve been and sharing what the future of Truth Moms might look like (yes, that could mean recording from cars on lunch breaks or bedrooms while Bluey buys 20 minutes of peace).

Then they dive into one of the biggest conversations online right now: the Taylor Farms Cyclospora outbreak. Is the real issue one contaminated product, or a food system where a handful of massive companies control so much of what ends up on our grocery store shelves? Unpack food safety, marketing buzzwords like “organic,” and why asking questions shouldn’t be controversial.

Then the Moms get real hot on the next topic: what it actually means to be a critical thinker after comments made on the I’ve Had It podcast sparked debate about homeschooling and political labels. Explore why dismissing entire groups of people can shut down meaningful conversation, and why curiosity, nuance, and challenging our own beliefs matter more than ever.

Whether you homeschool, public school, lean crunchy, are science-minded or crazy Christian, or somewhere in between, this episode is an invitation to ACTUALLY think critically, ask better questions, and have conversations without immediately putting people into boxes.

Episode 36 | The Truth About Breech Childbirth: ECV, Spontaneous Labor & C-Section in 24 Hours May 07, 2026
    Show notes

It’s Courtney’s turn! Listen in while she shares the emotional, funny, and deeply real story of welcoming Baby Kowalske #2 (who also makes his Podcast debut guest appearance for those watching the podcast in video format!)

In this episode of The Truth About Childbirth, Courtney’s version, she shares the emotional rollercoaster of discovering her baby was breech, navigating an ECV procedure, and ultimately facing an unexpected C-section. This episode is loaded with plot twists, surprises, and what happens when your baby says “birth plan who?”. Because sometimes childbirth is less “calm birth playlist” and more “husband sliding across the floor in his underwear because the baby is coming.”

Courtney also opens up postpartum emotions, C-section recovery, breastfeeding, hospital advocacy, and the wild reality of healing while caring for a newborn and a toddler.

This is more than just a story of birth, it’s an episode packed with fear and surrender, strength and recovery, and a reminder that birth is beautiful even when it does not go according to plan. Because all the statistics in the world can never count on your personal experience, even baby to baby.

Episode 35A | The Truth About Life After Stillbirth: Channeling Grief & Navigating Relationships in the First Year Apr 16, 2026
    Show notes

One year later… and the story didn’t end. It avalanched.

In this deeply personal follow-up, Brit and Court sit back down with Marist Lamson to revisit her stillbirth journey (Episode 19A & 19B) but not from the raw immediate moment - this time from the sacred lens of heart healing and the complicated place that comes after.

Marist opens up about what the first year after stillbirth actually holds - from quiet triggers and unexpected connections, to the relationships that stretch and the ones that didn’t survive. Marist shares what it’s been like to walk alongside other women in similar pregnancies specifically IUGR and SIUGR, to hold space for their fear while carrying her own grief, and to live in the tension of joy and grief at the same time.

Marist brings the moms along her journey to self actualizing, finding peace, finding community, understanding her future projects from the past events, and how the new year didn’t mean she lost Harvey.

It started as a story about loss. It became about what happens when the world keeps spinning and learning how to spin with it. It avalanched into spinning the worst moment of her life to a universal calling of a lifetime.
