Episode 101: Hatice Corbacioglu and Winsome Perez Apr 25, 2021

Show notes

In Today’s episode we are going to talk about a missing person’s case that led to the convergence of three governments. A lack of treatises meant a lack of communication and the escape of a possible killer. Until one year later a body is found...but it is not the body of the missing woman. This murder reinvigorates the hunt for the man who had been able to elude the Canadian police due to technicalities. But still this case will end in a mystery.

Episode 99: The Ortiz Family Murders | No Good Deed Mar 29, 2021

Show notes

On June 18th, the night before Father’s Day in 2011, three members of the Ortiz family were brutally slain in their home. At the scene there is a lot of motive, marijuana plants and cash. However, none seemed to be the motive for the murders as it was all still at the scene when police arrived. Even more puzzling was the absence of physical evidence. Who could have killed Lloyd and Dixie and their 21 year old special needs son, Steven?

When he told his story the following day not many in Vincennes believed what he had to say. It really didn’t add up.

Episode 96: The Thai Backpack Murders | Murder Island Feb 14, 2021

Show notes

On the surface the island of Koh Tao was heaven on earth for travelers looking to escape the world, to party all night, and sleep all day on white sand beaches. A lawless paradise, such a far cry from the policed western world. But the underbelly of that paradise was a far cry from the excited stories the back packers had to tell. On the island there existed corruption, racism, disorder, and, starting in 2014, a string of very complicated murders that just did not seem to make sense. Their exposures would muddy the reputation of the island. In the case we have for you today there exists the death of two backpackers, other complicated deaths on the island, a police force under fire, a local mafia exposed, and families trying to seek justice in a place that was sought after for turning their cheek to it.
