NBA and NHL Game 7 Weekend Recap, NBA Conference Finals Bets, Harry mushes the Maple Leafs, and can Sal bring himself to root for Boston? May 16, 2022
    Show notes

Cousin Sal and the Degenerate Trifecta begin the show recapping a big weekend of Game 7’s in the NBA and NHL playoffs. Parlay Kid believes the NHL playoff games have been so much better and everyone should be watching. Quickly, Eddie Spaghetti jumps on to take joy in the Rangers win over the Penguins as he is ready to move onto a different fan base than annoying crybaby Pittsburgh. Sal gave Eddie a signed Henrik Lundqvist puck at his birthday party that might have brought him good luck.

The guys recap their Betaches as Sal’s bet for Giannis to have the most points in Game 7 was undone by Grant Williams shooting his way to a record-setting night. As for Harry, the Toronto Maple Leafs took yet another first-round exit after he predicted they would win the Stanley Cup. Then it’s more discussion of Sunday’s big NBA playoff games as the Celtics/Bucks basically came down to three-point shooting and the Mavericks completely blew out the Suns on their home floor. Harry says Chris Paul deserves any criticism he is taking today including from Patrick Beverly.

Next, the guys make their picks for the Eastern and Western Conference Finals as Harry thinks Marcus Smart will be the X-Factor for the Celtics in the series, while Parlay Kid loves the Mavericks and makes the argument no one is playing better than Luka right now. Then it’s over to the NHL playoffs as they each make their best series bet as Sal and the Parlay Kid are split on the Tampa Bay Lighting/Florida Panther series and Brother Bri declares he’s glad to be done rooting for the NY Rangers.

NFL Schedule Release Reactions, Way Too Soon NFL Win Over/Under Picks, NBA Playoffs Picks & Props, Harry makes it Facebook official May 13, 2022
    Show notes

After nearly two weeks of being married, Harry finally makes it official on Facebook and causes confusion among his friends and family. The NFL schedule has finally been released and the guys give their thoughts on all the primetime games, the Cowboys schedule, and the Raiders. Then based on the schedule the guys each pick early wins and over/under as Brother Bri is a believer in the Jets, Harry is high on the Rams and Parlay Kid doesn’t think Matt Ryan will improve the Colts.

Then, the guys discuss last night’s NBA playoffs action as the Heat advance and the Sixers season ends in huge disappointment. Then they give their picks and prop bets for tonight’s games; Celtics @ Bucks and Grizzlies @ Warriors.

The crew takes a break from sports as Brad AKA Randy joins the show to give his review of the Winning Time finale and the final season of Ozarks. Brad was impressed by the actual basketball in the season finale but didn’t like the casting decisions. Sal and Brother Bri join him with complaints about Ozarks and the questions they were left with.

Harry’s lock of the year lost as Toronto Maple Leafs lose in OT to the Tampa Bay Lighting – but Harry is back on the Leafs in Shark Tank! Finally, a fan writes in to the show to ask Sal an important question about how many tasks Harry could complete out of ten.

Harry’s side of the Race to Ten Disaster, NBA Playoff Bets, Can Rangers stay alive against the Penguins and where will Arch Manning choose to play college football? May 11, 2022
    Show notes

Cousin Sal starts the show by explaining what happened behind the scenes on Race to Ten Tuesday as Harry went to the FanDuel Sportsbook in Phoenix but didn’t appear on the live stream until it was too late. Harry gives his side of the story blaming it on lousy wi-fi, his wife, and the manager accusing him of stacking tickets. To make matters worse his wife paid for premium parking and then they ran into her ex-boyfriend on the way out.

The guys recap last night’s NBA playoffs as both games end in blowouts; Parlay Kid believes the Sixers need to rethink their current roster as James Harden struggles again. Then they preview tonight’s games between Milwaukee @ Boston (-5.5) and Golden State @ Memphis (+4). Parlay Kid believes the Grizzlies will come out with a lot of intensity at home and Harry picks Desmond Bane over 16.5 points to pick up the scoring without Ja Morant.

A big night in baseball as the Yankees' Aaron Judge hits a huge walk-off homerun for a comeback win against the Blue Jays and the Angels’ Reid Detmers throws a no-hitter, while Sal is even more impressed with Anthony Rendon hitting a left-handed home run.

With a must-win game for the Rangers, tonight against the Penguins producer Eddie Spaghetti has given up hope and says he won’t watch tonight’s game. Harry however is betting on the Rangers and it doesn’t make Eddie feel any better. Finally, top five-star QB recruit Arch Manning reportedly narrows down his choices to Texas, Alabama, and Georgia as the Against All Odds crew discuss where they would pick if they were him.

    Show notes

It’s Race to Ten Tuesday and Harry will be at the FanDuel Sportsbook at Phoenix Suns Footprint Center playing for some fans who watch live with him. There’s an update on the $11 Harry got cashing out his Grizzlies futures ticket as he spent it on a 6-leg parlay.

While the Boston Celtics even their series with the Milwaukee Bucks as Al Horford has a career-high in points despite Harry betting him to hit the under. Plus, without Ja Morant the Grizzlies can’t hang on and lose to the Warriors.

Tonight, Cousin Sal is picking Jimmy Butler to respond with a big Game 5 as the Heat take on the 76ers. Then, the guys take the Suns in Race to Ten as Phoenix looks to bounce back in their series against the Dallas Mavericks. Right now, the Warriors and Celtics are the favorites in their conferences but are the guys confident that will be the NBA Finals?

Next, the guys discuss who would win: Shaquille O’Neal or Rudy Gobert, after the Jazz center tweeted he would lock Shaq up. Plus, Tom Brady signs a huge $375 million deal with Fox Sports when he retires and Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson suggests the city could host a second NFL team.

    Show notes

The Against All Odds crew begin the show by wishing producer Eddie Spaghetti a happy 30th birthday as he celebrated over the weekend by seeing Pearl Jam twice and meeting up with superfan of the show Heath Centazzo.

The guys recap a strange Kentucky Derby as the #21 horse (80-1) Rich Strike wins as some people thought the number 2 horse had won. Next, the guys recap their Betaches from over the weekend but it’s not all bad as Cousin Sal hits with Nikola Jokic reportedly winning his second consecutive MVP. Sal credits seeing on Twitter a poll of NBA experts who all voted for Jokic and jumped on those odds. Next, it’s a recap of the NBA playoffs as games have really been headlined by officiating. The guys make their picks for Monday’s games; Boston @ Milwaukee and Memphis @ Golden State. Brother Bri finds a new trend he likes for three-point bets in the first few minutes. Harry reveals he bought out of a Grizzlies bet once Ja Morant was injured for $11.

The Islanders fired their head coach Barry Trotz and the Parlay Kid believes he should have gotten more of an opportunity and that if the Rangers don’t win this series against the Penguins it will be devastating for the franchise.

    Show notes

It’s the one-week anniversary of Harry’s wedding and he’s still bragging about giving Sal’s family gummies. Cousin Sal is riding high after the Mets rally from seven down in the ninth to beat the Phillies for their biggest comeback in over 25 years. The Cincinnati Reds continue to be terrible as Brother Bri continues to bet against them.

On the ice, the New York Rangers even their series 1-1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins as Eddie and Dave continue to go at it on Twitter. Dave and Eddie both picked from the Cap of Consequences for what they will have to do if their team loses the series and Eddie is still upset about the inconsistent officiating in this series.

Next, the guys preview Friday night in the NBA starting with Heat @ 76ers. Parlay Kid believes that Miami is determined to wrap up this series and take advantage of an injured Joel Embiid. Plus, Suns @ Dallas, the Mavericks look to get back into this series, and Parlay Kid gives a Jalen Brunson player prop that he thinks should hit. The guys also introduce a new segment sponsored by Underdog Fantasy as they give out their under bets for the weekend.

The betting continues as the guys give out their Kentucky Derby picks but Harry can’t decide on just one horse and instead gives out a 4-horse $1 exacta box much to Sal’s dismay. Then the picks keep coming as they make their Sharp Tank picks as Harry rides with Eddie’s Rangers to win Game 3.

Former NHL player and horse racing analyst, Eddie Olcyzk joins the show to discuss playoff overtime hockey and what changes he would suggest. He also weighs in on Eddie’s argument that Sidney Crosby and the Penguins get more calls than other teams, plus what he did with the Stanley Cup when he had it for the day. Eddie makes his Stanley Cup prediction as well as his Kentucky Derby breakdown and which horse will be in all of his bets.

With the WNBA regular season tipping off tonight, we close things out with Brother Bri giving out some of WNBA futures including who he likes to win the championship.

Last night’s Race to Ten fell flat as the Warriors started out slow and couldn’t get much going. The guys recap last night’s NBA playoff games starting with the Miami Heat’s win over the 76ers; Parlay Kid can’t believe how bad James Harden look and believes he can’t carry a team anymore, especially with his style of play.
