Housing analyst Melody Wright expects home prices to start notably softening later this year. Why?Because a wave of distressed sellers looks very likely to hit the housing market by then.So far, sellers have largely tried to resist lowering prices. "Rage delisting has become a trend where, rather than bring down their price, sellers are just taking their real estate off of the market. But they can't do that forever. And growing percentage of them are becoming delinquent on their mortgage payments. To learn why Melody expects a substantial number of distressed sellers to start throwing in the towel later this year, watch this video.

While there a no immediate signs of danger, portfolio manager Lance Roberts warns that if the softening semiconductor sector keeps falling from here, trouble will likely start.
He thinks it more likely than not that stocks will experience a ~10% correction as the mid-terms and all their drama and uncertainty approach.
He and I discuss the odds of that, as well as what bonds are up to in today's video.

AI-linked stocks account for a record 45% of the S&P 500's total market capitalization and drive nearly all of the gains it's had for the year so far.Note that's the S&P, the general market. These companies make up an even higher percentage -- nearly 70% -- of the NASDAQ 100's market cap. Will this new AI-powered Tech renaissance that will continuing powering the indices higher for years to come?Or is this extreme dependence of the markets on a single sector a major vulnerability, putting all our hopes in a handful of companies that may not be able to keep growing at the meteoric rates that Wall Street is expecting? For answers, we're fortunate today to speak with Fred Hickey, editor of the highly respected newsletter The High Tech Strategist, which Fred has been publishing since 1987.Fred fears the economic model for A.I. is "disintegrating" before our eyes, and that when these stocks sell off, they'll take the entire market down with them.

When market uncertainty is as high as it is now, I often emphasize that the most useful people to interview are asset managers.Because they don't have the luxury of merely having an opinion on the road ahead -- they have to commit capital to their convictions, and be judged upon the results.Today we have the great fortune of having the return appearance of one of the most respected capital allocators in the business: Jan van EckJan is CEO of vanEck, an asset management firm with over $230 billion in assets under management invested across its wide family of ETFs and funds, spanning equity, bond, commodity, digital and regional asset classes. As we've done the past several quarters now, Jan and I will spend the next hour discussing his Q3 macro and market outlooks, as well as where he sees the biggest opportunities for investors right now.
