Those Conspiracy Guys is a history, comedy and true crime podcast from Ireland produced and presented by Gordon Rochford and the topics discussed are varied and wide-ranging; from the speculations on the out-there conspiracy theories like aliens, time travel, and ancient civilisations to researched discussions on the more grounded, historical and provable conspiracies like political and financial corruption, scientific chicanery and secret government agency shenanigans.
In long-form group discussions; interviews with authors and experts; live stage shows and streams with an eager audience; and collaborations with other conspiracy creators; Gordo examines all the wildest notions and most unbelievable theories in the ever broadening genre of ‘conspiracy’. From the high-concept topics like inter-dimensional lizard men, complicated assassination plots and potential future technologies like alternative simulated universes; to the much more tangible topics like discussing serial killers and mysterious true crime cases; exploring the history of religions and cult leaders; and historically profiling the lives and times of some of the most influential people to have lived, and died.

But the other properties of the cannabis plant, its potential as a fuel source and its use in the textile industry, may have sealed its fate at the turn of the 20th century as billionaire oligarchs used racist propaganda to convince people their familiar cannabis plant was a new evil marijuana narcotic. Jon Benet Ramsey Oct 22, 2016

On this episode we talk about one of the enduring mysteries in US True Crime and still a very popular case; a very young beauty queen declared missing, later found dead in her own families home, this time we are talking about Jon Benet Ramsey.
A strange and long handwritten note was found after the child disappeared and is held up as absolutely baffling proof that somehow Jon Benet's parents or brother had something to do with the death. The strange stories, the odd behaviour, the destruction of the crime scene and the hampering the ensuing investigation all point fingers toward the family.
It is one of the stranger True Crime episodes we have done and this particular episode is considered one of the 'Lost Episodes' along with the original Ghosts and Roswell episode; but it was recorded live as part of a string of attempts at live episode streaming. These eventually turned into the live chats and I plan to revisit this case in the future.

Holocaust Denial Aug 27, 2016

On this episode of Those Conspiracy Guys we tackle one of the most contentious topics of the twentieth century and one that is even illegal to discuss in many countries worldwide: Holocaust Denial. When most people think of the Holocaust they remember from their school history books and movies like Schindlers List and The Boy in the striped pyjamas; but the reality of the atrocities perpetrated on the people of Europe by The Nazis was much worse than can be shown on screen.
Millions died in work camps and countless more died before even making it to the camps; because of age or illness and even from diseases and ailments that were thought not to be a part of our modern society anymore. Their mistreatment has left an indelible scar on the psyche of our modern world and some claim it is this guilt that fuels the alleged Zionist agenda that the deniers hold true.
When most people think of the term Holocaust Denial they assume its a bunch of anti Semetic douche bags who claim that the Holocaust never happened. In fact, what they claim isn’t total denial of death but more a Hebrew hyperbole on the scale of the evils committed on Jews by Nazis, which isn’t so far fetched, and this is what makes it so dangerous I guess?
A world domination and a Jewish cleansing of Muslims from the land of Israel and the monopolisation of the world banking system are but two of the outlandish claims laid out by the deniers. These people have contravened international laws and have even been arrested and imprisoned for speaking out on this topic. We discuss the facts that deniers contest and delve into the science and physical evidence left behind at the concentration camps like Auschwitz and Dachau.
We examine victim testimony and look at the weight of evidence the Holocaust Deniers have in their favour. We also debate the legitimacy of the whole idea that a shadowy Jewish cabal are slowly taking over the world by puppeteering the world powers to their bidding as they exaggerate atrocities committed to their people to garner sympathy and political invincibility from a legally silenced world population. Serious stuff eh?
