Black Lives Matter Jun 03, 2020

Show notes

https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/ We’ve chosen not to air our episode as scheduled this week. Here’s why. Black lives matter. We cannot fully understand anyone’s lived experience but our own—but we strongly believe that is no excuse for a lack of empathy. If you are able - please protest, march, signal-boost, donate or do whatever you can to help. We’ve included a link in the episode description to a great list of ways you can help right now. We urge you to do what you can, donate what you can, and give voice in whatever way you can. We plan to release our A Scanner Darkly episode on Monday. A Scanner Darkly is about many things, one of its messages is simple - the system is broken. But A Scanner Darkly posits that it is no accident the system is broken… It was designed to be broken... It was designed to not work. We think that’s a message worth hearing, but right now we hope you remember these names… These names and countless others... Names that a broken system wants you to forget. Breonna Taylor Ahmaud Arbery Tamir Rice Trayvon Martin Oscar Grant Eric Garner Philando Castille Sandra Bland Terrence Crutcher Samuel Dubose Walter Scott Freddie Gray George Floyd
