If anything can electrify your existence, it's happiness. It makes life worth living. But sadly, it's missing from many people's lives, and not enough people make it a priority. They see it as a result of certain situations or outcomes,, rather than a goal or priority in itself. You deserve joy, deep, welling, transformative. Regardless of your circumstances, there are ways to stimulate happiness and attract more of it into your life. In this podcast we discuss tips we've found that work, and books that can be your part of your happiness toolbox. Join authors Stephanie Urbina Jones, Jeremy Pajer and I as we discuss this important success principle.
1. What does happiness mean to you?
2. Were you always a happy person? If not, how did you decide to pursue happiness? What role did happiness play in personal fulfillment?
3. How do you deal with depression, disappointment, pain and other negative emotions as you pursue happiness? How do you keep your joy in the midst of setbacks?
5. How do happiness tie to goal setting and success?
6. Are role models, accountability partners or mentors a part of your pursuit of happiness?
7. What has happiness done for you?
8. Books- mine- Zemnurgize Your Life and Plenty of Guppies and theirs
9. Background- Stephanie Urbina Jones is a powerful dreamer and artist of life. Once this shamama sets her intent on something, she almost always brings it to life and has fun doing it. She is a visionary seer and regularly walks between the worlds. She considers this normal and believes she has an army of Mexican angels (led by her Abuelita Virginia) that guide and guard her life and career.
Born in San Antonio and raised in small-town Fredericksburg, Texas, she has never met a stranger. Her first job was picking peaches, and her first date was coon hunting. She still loves the great outdoors and the simple things in life. She is living her dreams every day, working on songs, albums, books, tours, ceremonies, time with her family, or journeys around the world. She is enjoying her life now more than ever.
Stephanie lives on the river outside Nashville, TN, with her beloved daughter Zeta, husband and firewalk instructor Jeremy, their little white buffalo medicine dog Lulu, and moody cat Bolt. She loves getting snowed in and or any chance to be with her family.
She wrote her first song when her high school boyfriend broke up with her, and she never looked back. She loves her dad, Uncle Rudy, everything mariachi, and her Mexican roots. She spends a few months a year south of the border making music, playing, trying on dresses, leading journeys, or just hanging with her family of friends.
She loves Besame red lipstick (just like her Abuelita,) listening to music, eating nachos, daydreaming, meditating, going days without makeup, sipping coffee on the river in her pajamas, and leading sacred journeys. She believes in supporting the artists she loves and is always paying off some piece of art from her favorite painter Emily Grieves, sculptor Alberto Hernandez, or a designer piece of clothing.
She loves sweat lodges, healing massages, traveling, and fabulous hotels. She doesn’t cook and is so grateful for Uber Eats all over the world. She has a passion for helping people and things grow. She is not afraid of her, or your, darkness. She was born to hold sacred witness for others as they bloom through their pain and find their purpose.
One of the greatest gifts in the last ten years was becoming a Toltec teacher and starting Freedom Folk and Soul. She cherishes her deep connection with her Tribe of Transformation. Stephanie made history on the Grand Ole Opry, had a song she wrote to win The Voice, travels and tours all over the world with her Honky Tonk Mariachis, and is just getting started. She works with two mediums and several renowned shamans, and continues to learn and carry indigenous healing ways herself.
She is finally coming out of the shaman closet with Shaman Heart. She is a reiki master and loves to see how spirit moves through different healing modalities. Stephanie believes it all comes down to being a messenger of love. She spreads and makes magic everywhere she goes.
