48. Tedeschi Trucks Band's The Fireside Sessions, Episode 4 Recap Mar 12, 2021

Show notes

"Tedeschi Trucks Band is proud to present The Fireside Sessions, a six-episode series of home performances to share TTB music with fans safely until we can get back on the road again." And for episode four, the lineup was Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Gabe Dixon, Mike Mattison, Brandon Boone, Mark Rivers, and Tyler "Falcon" Greenwell. And what an excellent, fun show it was, which included 2 NEW originals! (a Mike penned tune with him on lead vocal, and a stunning instrumental). And for this recap, I again recorded me talking in a livestream chat in the private TTB Fans group on Facebook, immediately following the band's performance. https://2nu.gs/TTB (Order The Fireside Sessions), https://givebutter.com/TTB (Support TTB's Crew), http://instagram.com/tedeschitruckspodcast, http://instagram.com/adamchoit, http://twitter.com/adamchoit, http://tedeschitrucksband.com

44. Alina Harmash Talks Photography and Her Love For Susan Tedeschi Feb 15, 2021

Show notes

Photographer Alina Harmash grew up in Southern Ukraine and now resides in the capital city of Kiev, and this overseas Susan Tedeschi and Tedeschi Trucks Band fan tells me all about the musical and artistic influence of her family, and also how really all of her life's most important decisions have actually centered around music. She loves all things Sweden and studied the language and culture, but it was in Copenhagen, and really later in London where Alina had her most profound TTB experience, getting her first opportunity to shoot photos of the band. https://www.instagram.com/moon.sister.photo/, http://instagram.com/tedeschitruckspodcast, http://instagram.com/adamchoit, http://twitter.com/adamchoit, http://tedeschitrucksband.com

42. Jeff Wood Talks Creating Posters For Tedeschi Trucks Band Jan 30, 2021

Show notes

Per his Instragram page Jeff Wood is a poster artist, painter, screenprinter, beadworker, and a tiny blip on the cosmic radar. He’s created so much wonderful artwork over the years for Derek, Susan, TTB, Gov't Mule, Widespread Panic, and beyond. His career is super impressive, and perhaps just as great is how much admiration Jeff has for all the visual artists before him, the music of TTB, other bands, and of course for the musicians themselves. We cover a lot, including Mr. Wood’s personal connection to Native culture / history, High Times magazine, and much more. https://www.instagram.com/zenmysticstudio/, https://zendragongallery.com/collections/tedeshi-trucks-band, http://instagram.com/tedeschitruckspodcast, http://instagram.com/adamchoit, http://twitter.com/adamchoit, http://tedeschitrucksband.com

40. I Talk About My Love For Elizabeth Lea Jan 16, 2021

Show notes

For this one, a solo episode, I talk all about Tedeschi Trucks Band's talented trombonist, Elizabeth Lea. I don't know her personally, but beyond being a great musician, just based on the moderate sample size of quotes and anecdotes I've gathered from fans and band members past and present, who she is a person makes her that much more impressive. I got music clips, quotes, and beyond with this episode. https://www.facebook.com/ElizabethLea.Trombone/, https://www.jacksonville.com/entertainmentlife/20180627/women-of-soul-tedeschi-trucks-bands-ladies-bond-on-stage-and-off, http://instagram.com/tedeschitruckspodcast, http://instagram.com/adamchoit, http://twitter.com/adamchoit, http://tedeschitrucksband.com

39. I Talk The Beatles Influence on Tedeschi Trucks Band Jan 10, 2021

Show notes

For today's solo episode I talk all about The Beatles influence on Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, and the band. Whether it's covering songs from the Fab Four from their Beatles days or from their ensuing solo careers, or whether it's doing Beatles covers in the style of Aretha Franklin or Joe Cocker / Mad Dogs, TTB always brings the soul and does wonderful tributes to this iconic band. Thanks again as always to the tapers for their great live audio from TTB shows. http://instagram.com/tedeschitruckspodcast, http://instagram.com/adamchoit, http://twitter.com/adamchoit, http://tedeschitrucksband.com
