98. Jeff Fink Talks Traveling All Around To See Tedeschi Trucks Band Dec 17, 2022

Show notes

Originally from Houston and now living in Austin, TX and working in tech, hardcore Tedeschi Trucks Band fan Jeff Fink recalls growing up and his dad the drummer playing music at all sorts of fun jams and barbecue cook outs. Soon enough Jeff would begin playing drums himself and his musical taste kept expanding. Jeff tells me all about his first time seeing Derek Trucks with the Allman Brothers, seeing Derek and Susan together pre-TTB, and he also talks all about seeing the band in many cities at this point. Red Rocks, Beacon, Ryman, Europe, and more. Jeff clearly loves this band, and I appreciate that.

95. Livestream with Alina Harmash Talking Photography and Tedeschi Trucks Band in Europe Nov 06, 2022

Show notes

Past guest of this show Alina Harmash returns and this time chatted with me on a livestream from Stockholm, Sweden. She's photographed 8 shows so far from Tedeschi Trucks Band's current European tour, and to say it's been the thrill of a lifetime for her is probably an understatement. We cover a lot - the music, the photos, meeting Derek, Susan, and other members of the band, and much more. Alina, a native of Ukraine, has gone through a lot to say the least, and I wish her and her family and friends well, and truly appreciate this very special, global episode. https://instagram.com/moon.sister.photo/, Tedeschi Trucks Podcast on YouTube, http://instagram.com/tedeschitruckspodcast, http://instagram.com/adamchoit, http://twitter.com/adamchoit, http://tedeschitrucksband.com

Show notes

Today we have Macon, Georgia's own, guitar player and audio engineer, Adam Gorman. These days Adam plays with End Of The Line, an excellent Allman Brothers tribute band, but before then he recalls growing up drenched in ABB’s music. We talk Allmans, we talk Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Adam tells me all about the honor it was to perform at both Gregg Allman’s memorial and Gregg’s friend, right hand man and more, Hewell “Chank” Middleton's memorial, both at the Big House in Macon.

92. Alan Paul & Bob Beatty Talk Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Writing Oct 05, 2022

Show notes

On the eve of Tedeschi Trucks Band's 50th Beacon Theatre, I recorded a live in person conversation with authors Alan Paul and Bob Beatty. We talked Allman Brothers and lots of TTB stuff, and celebrated the release of Bob NEW book, Play All Night!: Duane Allman and the Journey to Fillmore East. (Also, my apologies for the low quality audio in this episode. I recently got some new gear and it unfortunately it was not integrated properly during this recording).

91. Tricia Williams Talks The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation and Tedeschi Trucks Band Sep 22, 2022

Show notes

Program Director for the Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, Tricia Williams has been an accomplished musician and percussionist herself, but these days she mostly pours her heart and soul into the foundation -- which does amazing work helping secure high-quality musical instruments to deserving, under-funded music programs, and providing an array of services to school districts. Of course Tedeschi Trucks Band has been a long time supporter of Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, as was Kofi Burbridge. And September 22, Kofi’s Birthday, is Kofi Burbridge Day of Service. A day of volunteering and raising money for great causes. So what better time to talk to Tricia than right now.
