Today on The Survival Podcast we cover… Quote of the Day, “Don’t criticize what you can’t understand” ~ Bob Dylan The crayfish have arrived, we shall see where this goes How about a private search engine that pays you in crypto to use it? Is small space growing worth … Continue reading →

Episode-2821- Paradigms Fall, The Media is in Denial & The Elites Capitalize Feb 08, 2021
    Show notes

This morning when I checked crypto prices I did a quick double take, “Bitcoin is at 44K, what is going on”? Ten seconds into it I found the media going ape about the fact that Elon Musk announced that Tesla purchased 1.5 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin mostly in January and as part of being a public company had to disclose this. Every article on it had a passive aggressive undertone, attacking Musk, Tesla and above all Bitcoin itself. I am pretty sure that this one is on cut and paste phrase list for any so called journalist writing about … Continue reading →

    Show notes

Today on The Survival Podcast the expert panel answers your questions on taking chances, gout, diet, solar power, antibiotics, air compressors, government money, investing, strategic relocation and more. Make sure if you submit content for a feedback show that you put something like “comment for jack”, “question for jack” or “article for jack” in the subject line to assure proper identification for my screening process. Please understand I receive several hundred emails a day and can’t get them all on the air. I also do put out a lot of information on Facebook from emails that I can’t fit on … Continue reading →

Episode-2819- Dreaming of Spring and Planning Gardens Feb 04, 2021
    Show notes

It is days like this where I think back to living in Pennsylvania for much of my life, and remember cabin fever often lasting into April. It makes me really appreciate some part of living so much further south. Don’t get me wrong, I do miss many things like the colors and smells in the fall when archery hunting but man I am not a winter type of guy. A massive cold front is about to rock most of the nation and even I won’t be spared in North Central Texas. So this may seem like an odd time to … Continue reading →

Walk Through Videos of our Two Project Builds for the Spring 21 Workshop Feb 02, 2021
    Show notes

As promised I have done the walk though videos of the two builds we are doing at TSP Spring 21. The tickets go on sale on Saturday Feb. 6th and are expected to sell out very quickly. They will be released on the TSPC Telegram Channel at 9AM CST on the 6th. The first video was a little rough by combining the sketch and the walk though in the field but I think it is works good enough to convey the project, the method and the goals. For the second project as it is so complex in its simplicity (yea … Continue reading →

Episode-2817- Choosing Chicken Breeds Based on Homestead Goals and Intrinsic Characteristics Feb 02, 2021
    Show notes

In some ways chickens are like WordPress Plugins. What do I mean by that? Man and chicken go back so far that no matter what you really want, someone has likely already bred a chicken breed that does that. Different breeds have different intrinsic characteristics. In permaculture any living element is analyzed for a few different things but one is intrinsic characteristics. For this discussion let’s break down and define those words Intrinsic – belonging to the essential nature or constitution of a thing Characteristic – a distinguishing trait, quality, or property In other words some animals and further some … Continue reading →

Episode-2816- I Have No Interest in Either the New or Old Normal Feb 01, 2021
    Show notes

Today I am just going to 100% freestyle the show a lot like it was done for the first 18 months. For those that do not know the show’s full history from June of 2008-Dec of 2010 I did the show from my car on my daily drive to my office, roughly a 55 mile commute. My only notes were an index card in my console with a few bullet points on it. Today I won’t even do that, the message I have for you today is essentially the sum of 12.5 years of my work at this point. Many … Continue reading →
