    “I ate them! I ate them all!!” – SWR #30 Jan 20, 2012
    Show notes

Welcome back to the Star Wars Report podcast!

On this episode of the Star Wars Report, we talked a little bit about the last episode, and fallout from the RANT OF DOOM! (It wasn’t really a rant of doom, but I’ve always wanted to use the word ‘doom’ in one of these posts. Also, beware clicking on the fiery image of doom below, something might happen!)

We also talked about goal setting, and some of our goals for the Star Wars Report.

We mentioned Ewan McGregor’s surprise upon learning that the Phantom Menace was being re-released in 3D.

Sam Witwer was a zombie soldier in The Walking Dead!?

Sadly, Bob Anderson died at the age of 89, after contributing to some of the best known movie franchises in the world.

On a more upbeat note, the world has gone to the dogs, and the dogs have gone to the Bark Side!

This episode of craziness is brought to you by Toy Hutt! Your source for great Star Wars toys and action figures, games and more!

We admired two different Barriss Offee figures.

    Then we discussed Underworld!

Um no, not that one. Star Wars: Underworld, the oft mentioned Star Wars live action series that’s in the works! (Which also shares the name of a little known Star Wars comic made back in the early 2000s.)

George Lucas retires? Or does he?

And finally, we discuss the burgers of the dark side, and much hilarity ensues. Thank you Eric for pointing out this story and the comments! And a thank you to all listeners who email us, we really appreciate it!

Still Waters Run Deep – SWR #29 Jan 13, 2012
    Show notes

Welcome back to the Star Wars Report!

Where to begin, where to begin……

Ok, so Riley, Mark, and Bethany (especially Riley) rant about liking and not liking Star Wars. About haters and fans, ‘true fans’ and disagreements. You’ll just have to listen. =)

We also had Chris of the Sarlacc Pit podcast join us to talk a bit about his show, and discuss the latest in The Clone Wars!

Thank you Toy Hutt for sponsoring this craziness!

Daniel Logan saved a six-year-old girl from drowning! I don’t know how it’s possible, but Mr. Fett just went up several notches on the cool scale.

    Enjoy!!

    Show notes

    Greetings exalted ones!

Though we, your hosts, are taking a holiday break from the Star Wars Report this week, we bring you a special episode to hold you over until our live show next Thursday.

This episode tells you more about our upcoming expanded universe podcast, Star Wars Beyond the Films, and how it came to be. This is partially an excerpt from the Star Wars podcasting network, Solo Sound, from one of their podcasts, the EU Review episode twenty-three, in which Nathan Butler gives an in depth look at what’s up with the new show! It also has a special intro that Riley recorded; he talks about Star Wars Beyond the Films, and a few other things as well.

We’re quite excited about Star Wars Beyond the Films, and think that you guys must be too, considering a number of you’ve already followed their Twitter account and liked their Facebook page!

Check out Solo Sound for more Star Wars podcasting! Here are their Twitter, and their Facebook accounts.

Our thanks goes to Nathan Butler for permission to use an excerpt of the EU Review.

May the Force be with you, always!

The Year in Review – SWR #26 Dec 23, 2011
    Show notes

Welcome to this, the last 2011 episode of The Star Wars Report!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This was a very special episode of The Star Wars Report; we discussed how we felt about this past year, and where we’ve come from, once we were The Bothan Report, now we are The Star Wars Report! This is a very free-form episode, and it runs a bit longer than normal, an hour and forty-ish minutes. We had quite a turn out in the chat, which was a very pleasant surprise! We’d imagined that there wouldn’t be that many people, it being so close to Christmas. Thanks for that guys, you’re always fun to talk to. =)

We talked about how it’s great to be members of the Star Wars fan community, a community which bands together to help such children like Baby Leah, a little girl who has been sick for most of her short life, and Katie, a girl who was bullied for liking Star Wars.

We also talked a bit more about the Star Wars expanded universe podcast that will be joining us in January, Star Wars Beyond the Films. You can hear a more in-depth description of Star Wars Beyond the Films and how it came to be on the twenty third episode of Nathan Butler’s podcast, the EU Review.

Our sponsor for this episode is Toy Hutt! Mark was delighted to find that Toy Hutt has a figure of K’Kruhk, a bit more on the expensive side, this figure of K’Kruhk would make Mark really happy if anyone is wondering what to get him for Christmas! Haha

We also talked about how The Star Wars Report has changed, and all our favorite Star Wars items that have come out in the past year, how we’ve changed as Star Wars fans, how much we adored The Hobbit trailer, (yes really, we did) and decided we’d discuss it in the next episode. We also read several emails we got from listeners, which we always love doing, and responded to them.

Thank you so much guys, we’ve loved doing the Star Wars Report, we’ve loved talking to everyone on Facebook, Twitter, via email, and in our live show chat room!

“Twilight is upon me and soon night must fall. That is the way of things……”

    ON TO 2012!

    Rattling the Lightsaber – SWR #25 Dec 16, 2011
    Show notes

Welcome back to The Star Wars Report!

On this episode, we talk about the Glee Christmas special featuring everyone’s favorite wookie, Chewbacca!

We also cover a story about a firefighter Mike Stentzel, who suffered a stroke and was comatose for a time. Star Wars fans and members of the 501st helped raise money for him and his family, once again showing what an awesome community of fans we are!

We were joined by a good friend, and staff member/contributor to The Star Wars Report, Peter Morrison, founder and admin of LightSaber Rattling, a wonderful Star Wars blog. He tells us a bit about himself and LightSaber Rattling, and how he became a Star Wars fan! Be sure to check out his site, he has a lot of fun, original content on it!

We also discussed George Takei’s “Star Peace”, his response to the Star Wars vs. Star Trek feud going on right now between Carrie Fisher and William Shatner!

This episode of The Star Wars Report is sponsored by our good friends over at, Toy Hutt. Interested in buying Star Wars toys, games and collectibles over the holidays? Check them out, they have a lot of great stuff! On this episode, Bethany was curious to see if they had a Governor Tarkin figure, she was remembering the Stephen Stanton interview we did a while back!

Also, a man in Oregon attacks holiday shoppers with a lightsaber!? Clearly a rogue Jedi.

“One officer was able to hit the man with his taser, but the suspect then broke the taser wire with his light saber- at which point, the officers grabbed him and wrestled him to the ground.”

Wow, clearly a skilled Dark Jedi at that!

I hope you enjoy this episode of The Star Wars Report!

Will The Old Republic threaten the revenue of World of Warcraft?

Also, George Lucas gives his autograph to help little Princess Leah, the baby girl we’ve spoken of before.

Thank you Toy Hutt for sponsoring this episode! Check out their site, and their awesome collectibles! This week, we admired a holographic Princess Leia, and talked about some of their new toys!

And, take a look at some recently unearthed story board art for The Empire Strikes Back!

    Hah, Obi-Wan looks like Gandalf!

Geek is Awesome posted an old interview with some of the original trilogy actors, and it reveals a very different set of plans for how Star Wars prequels/sequels could have gone….

We welcomed special guest Nathan Butler on the show to talk about a new podcast he’ll be doing for the Star Wars Report! It’s called Star Wars Beyond the Films, stay tuned for more updates, and we’ll let you know when the show airs for the first time!

The Order, and the Republic – SWR #23 Dec 05, 2011
    Show notes

Greetings, and welcome back to the Star Wars Report!

SHOCK AND AMAZEMENT! I, Bethany, the one and only, did the show intro!

On this episode, Riley spoke of his experience playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, in beta.

We had special guests from the New Jedi Order Encyclopedia, Chris and Punit on, and interviewed them about their site!

We also had a number of people in the chat this episode, (where they made fun of me for mis-introducing our guests) be sure and tune into our live shows to join us there! You guys make shows twice as fun. =)

Thanks to Toy Hutt for sponsoring this episode of The Star Wars Report! Check them out at ToyHutt.com.

We also talked about the recently revealed Star Wars Identities, and how all our speculations were incorrect.

And, we arrived at an agreement as to what Krell truly is….. a Jerky McJerk Face!

I hope you enjoy this latest episode, and may the Force be with you in the up-coming holidays!

    VIRUS ATTACK!!!!! – SWR #22 Nov 19, 2011
    Show notes

Welcome back to The Star Wars Report! After a few technical difficulties, (Bethany’s computer crashed and displayed the Windows Blue Screen of DEATH! It had been attacked by two Sith viruses.) we managed, after some delay, to get the show going live on ustream! Hopefully, after our Thanksgiving break, we’ll be live as usual on Middle-earth Network Radio!

We had two special guests on this episode, Geralyn and Stephen of the Star Wars fan site Roqoo Depot! We had a lot of fun talking to them, and sadly didn’t get to stay on very long with them as we had some connection problems. Perhaps we can have them on again in the future! Be sure to visit their site!

We also discussed the long-in-making, live action series, and speculated many things about it. When will it come into being? Why do we even want a live action series when we have TCW and the EU? (That’s a well duh, question for me, lol.) Why does it take so long to have the money to make it when it’s been announced for six years!? And in planning even longer!

Also, ONE MILLION HOURS LOGGED IN THE OLD REPUBLIC ON ONE WEEKEND!!!! AND IT WAS ONLY BETA TESTING!!! Wow.

And, as has been usual recently, we talked about the latest The Clone Wars episodes, and speculated about the next several episodes.

This episode of The Star Wars Report is brought to you by Toy Hutt! A wonderful place to purchase Star Wars action figures, models, puzzles and more! We looked at a specific item in this episode, a Naboo Starfighter, model kit, which Bethany was rather fascinated by. http://www.toyhutt.com/ep1naboofightermodel.html Visit their site, and support us!

Nice of you guys to drop by, and I hope you enjoy the show!
