    How Much Would $6,000 Buy? – SWR #40 Apr 06, 2012
    Show notes

Welcome back to the Star Wars Report podcast!

On this episode, your hosts Bethany and Riley are out of town, minus some of their recording equipment; so they record a pre-recorded show for you by themselves. WE MISSED YOU MARK!! (We also talked about you.) >=)

Red Tails is coming this spring, May 22nd, to DVD, and Blu-ray!

A new twist for Leia’s Journey for Baby Princess Leah!

Well, Leia’s Journey has been a huge success so far and a blast to do. We have had a ton of people that want Leia to stop by for a visit, and, well, Leia can only be in one place at a time….. UNTIL NOW!?!?

“What do you mean?”, you might be thinking. Well, we have decided to add a “New Twist” to the “Leia’s Journey for Baby Leah” project. Leia will continue her journey as scheduled, but to help with getting Leia to more stops and conventions, we are going to open up the “Leia’s Journey” to anyone who has a “Princess Leia 12 inch action figure” of their own.

Remember when we discussed several rumors about Star Wars: Battlefront III? Well, even more rumors and speculation have surfaced over the disclosure of some interesting information…..

James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein will be reprising their roles as hosts of Star Wars Weekends again this year!

There’s a life size statue of Darth Malgus!?!? And it costs nearly $6,000?

We also cover the CBS copyright infringement shutdown of a Star Trek fan-film. We compare CBS’ action on this to Lucasfilms’ fan relations, and talk about how grateful we are that Lucasfilm isn’t overly stringent with their copyrights. (If they were, you wouldn’t, after all, be reading this, or listening to this episode. Thank you Lucasfilm!)

We read two emails from listeners (Thanks guys! We always love feedback!), and talk about the newly released Star Wars Kinect!

And of course we discuss the travesty that is Han Solo dancing…. (Travesty? Really? Why is that so bad? It’s just like a cos-player deciding to dance while in costume at a convention, and everyone seems to like that…. and it’s not like it’s a main plot point in the game, or a part of an in universe novel, comic or video game. I would understand people being upset if right in the middle of a serious cut-scene from The Force Unleashed, Starkiller broke out the moves and started to tango.)

On that swingin’ and jiggin’ note, we hope you enjoy the episode!

Geeking Out and Fangirling About The Clone Wars Season 4 – SWR #39 Mar 31, 2012
    Show notes

Welcome back to the Star Wars Report!

This week your hosts Riley, Mark and Bethany are joined by special guests Steve Glossen, of Geek Out Loud fame, and Teresa Delgado, of Fan Girl Next Door fame. Thanks for coming on you two! We had so much fun.

During this round-table episode we discussed our various thoughts on Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4, including, but not limited to, our favorite episodes, our favorite arcs (And are we in favor of long arcs?) the return of Darth Maul, the death of Captain Tarpals and more.

We also speculated on the content and the stories to come in the officially announced return of The Clone Wars to television for Season 5. (Hint: There should be at least one session of Cooking with Yoda.)

Though more seriously, is it possible that Darth Maul will team up with the criminal underworld in Season 5?

This time we decided to record our aftershow, which this time happened to be about The Hunger Games movie! The aftershow is recorded and played after the credits, so it’s quite easy to skip out on, if you only wish to hear Star Wars discussion. Let us know what you guys think of the idea of an aftershow, and keep in mind we would talk about many things, not just the Hunger Games.

Enjoy the show, and remember, many Bothans died to bring you this episode!

Mark comes in for the later half of the show. He unfortunately gets an unwelcome surprise. Blood and Chrome anyone?

We talk about new Battlefront 3 rumors, the newest SWEU book “Scoundrels” and much more!

Rest in Peace Ralph Mcquarrie – SWR #36 Mar 09, 2012
    Show notes

Salutations and felicitations Star Wars fans! We have for you today another episode of the Star Wars Report!

During this episode we talk about Drew Karpyshyn retiring from BioWare, George Lucas getting the Vanguard Award from the NAACP for Red Tails, a successful Kickstarter, Star Wars project that went through and much more!

How much would a Death Star cost to build in real life?

LFL digital production facility plans move forward for Marin County CA. Is Lucasfilm growing as a successful, competitive company? And, could this possibly be related to the production of a certain Star Wars, live action, much talked about television show!? (Thanks to Anthony Madden for pointing that out!)

Drew Karpyshyn’s book get’s a title, the Nomi Sunrider book has been canceled, and Timothy Zahn’s Han Solo book will be out this winter!

This episode of the Star Wars Report is sponsored by Toy Hutt! Your source for toys and more from that galaxy far, far away!

Toy Hutt has an awesome deal for avid collectors this week! If you’re looking to purchase a number of Star Wars items in the near future, they have a sale right now where if you purchase $75.00 or more, you get a %20 percent discount!

We also discovered that they have a cool, collecting 101 guide. If you’re new to collecting, or like having your collecting information assimilated neatly (Yeah sure, Borg style. Props if you get this reference!), than take a look at their guide!

Riley also spoke of his conflicted feelings on the Star Wars Happy Meals.

We played a cool interview with Erik Bauersfeld, the voice of Admiral Ackbar and Bib Fortuna, who seems like quite a nice guy!

Ralph Mcquarrie (June 13, 1929 – March 3, 2012) is now one with the Force. This episode of the Star Wars Report is dedicated to him.

    Award Winning Action! – SWR #32 Feb 06, 2012
    Show notes

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the latest episode of the Star Wars Report!

On this episode of the Star Wars Report, Bethany, Riley and Mark are joined by Nathan Butler for a special fan audio awards segment. Listen in to all those who won awards, including yours truly!

Also, will we see more of Mortis in The Clone Wars? Considering what Star Wars author James Luceno had to say in a Facebook chat he had a while ago, perhaps so!

Also, on this episode of the Star Trek Report we discuss time travel…..

Do you think it’s likely that Star Wars Underworld will have time travel in it, or would you rather time travel stay in such franchises as Star Trek and Doctor Who?

This episode of the Star Wars Report is sponsored by Toy Hutt, your source for great toys and action figures, games and trinkets from that galaxy far, far away!

Bethany admired a Power of the Force Luke Skywalker figure, and a Star Wars Sideshow Rebel Commando!

We had sad news to bring to you: actor Ian Abercrombie, voice of Palpatine in The Clone Wars, and an actor with a career that spanned many other prestigious roles, passed away. His talent and personality will be missed.

Hope you enjoy this week’s episode!

    Rock Buddies! – SWR #31 Jan 27, 2012
    Show notes

    Greetings exalted ones!

On this episode of the Star Wars Report, Mark, Riley and Bethany are joined by special guest host Teresa Delgado! Teresa is a friend Bethany and Riley met at Fan Days, and has her own blog, and podcast.

Star Wars rock buddies made it into the show this time….

The Old Republic cost nearly $200 million dollars! Cool authors announce they’ll be attending Celebration Six. Dave Filoni tells us of a charity auction of a poster he designed that’s been signed by him, Daniel Logan, George Lucas and others. There’s still a chance to bid on that auction if you’re interested!

The war is on! William Shatner promises no peace in response George Takei’s Star Peace proposal. Also, we really can’t wait ’till we see Darth Maul in The Clone Wars.

This episode of the Star Wars Report was made possible by Toy Hutt! Toy Hutt is a great source for Star Wars toys and action figures, games and more!

Since we can’t seem to stop talking about Darth Maul, we picked two cool Maul figures for you guys to look at this time!

We also talked about Oprah’s interview with George Lucas and our excitement approaching the release of The Phantom Menace in 3D. We ended with a very interesting email from Andrew Halliday that sparked quite the conversation towards the end of the show!

    Hope you guys enjoy!
