Stay ConnectedAmerica, we gotta get back to doing what’s expected of us as free citizens in this democracy. That means being tolerant, being respectful, staying informed, and being engaged. I’m former Congressman Joe Walsh. Follow me here and join the millions of Americans who are renewing their social contract with each other. The social contract. It’s on us.

I sat down with long time reporter, now independent journalist, Scott MacFarlane to discuss the slush fund, the war, and congressional Republicans’ reactions to it all. Also…is the MAGA base moving some? We discussed. Great conversation.

Trump and his people have been saying for awhile now that ICE will be out on the streets in certain areas on Election Day. It’s part of Trump’s strategy to try and fuck with our midterm elections. They were out at certain polling places this past Tuesday in California. That’s just a preview. It’s illegal btw, but when had Trump ever cared about the law?

Perfect time for my regular Friday talk with entrepreneur Ted Dintersmith who is focusing on the 14 causes unraveling our democracy. Maybe he can pick me up. Or help make some sense for why we don’t talk about policy anymore.

I believe that my former political party is now the Trumpy/MAGA party for good. Or certainly, for the rest of my lifetime. Quin Hillyer, long time conservative writer/thinker disagrees. He believes the GOP can change from its Trumpy dominance now and get back to a semblance of what it was before Trump sooner than people think. So he and I sat down to talk about it.
