She was told there was little hope, and without chemo & western medicine, she would most certainly die. With no support, Andrea raised her sister Adrienne for 7 years, before finding out Adrienne had cancer at age 15. She passed away after 147 days, Andrea by her side the whole time. Andrea's book "Better Off Bald - A Life in 147 Days" dives deeper into the story of how she got through her very unorthodox youth, to ultimately become the founder of Cancer University, where Andrea now advocates for patients rights with cancer.
