    The Scriptures Are Real

The Scriptures Are Real (TSAR) with Kerry Muhlestein is a podcast where we look at elements of the scriptures that have become real to us. We interview both experts (people with language, archaeological, historical backgrounds, etc.), and lay folks, and explore times when the scriptures became real to them. This is done from the viewpoint of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We believe that there is real power in the scriptures and that as they become more real we can better apply them to our lives and draw more power from them.
If you listen to this podcast you will learn all kinds of interesting background information that will help you understand and learn more from the scriptures. We believe it will allow you to add real power to your life.
My gratitude to my co-host Lamar Newmeyer. Also to my friend Rich Nicholls, who composed the introductory music.

They also talk about how God's anger and how it works to help and bless and change His people. They look at divine violence in the scriptures and how we can think about that and see God's love in it. Janiece Johnson and Kerry discuss important and hard lessons that are learned in the early Church as they figured out what were appropriate manifestations of the Spirit, and how Satan imitates revelation. They look at how God revealed to His prophet the things they, and we, need to learn in order to avoid being deceived. They help us see the need for growing in our revelatory relationship with God. They explore how misunderstanding God's revelatory process can lead to us being "overthrown", and how we can grow in the light and thus overcoming darkness rather than being overcome by it. They look at how that which is worldly and fallen lead to deception as well. They focus on how Christ is the one who overcomes, and that if we don't come to Christ and accept His light in His way we will be overcome rather than overcoming through Christ. They also look at how important it is to follow the revelation we receive, and how we need to use it to know what voices to listen to and what to accept from the voices around us.

We are grateful for our executive producers, B. Fisher and K. Bradley, and for all our generous and loyal donors. We are also very grateful for all our Patreon members.
