Christianity
**The Remnant Radio’s Podcast**

The Remnant Radio educates and equips believers in God’s Word & Spirit, exploring Christian theology, church history, and the gifts of the Spirit in a manner that is engaging, relatable, and inspiring. Weekly, we bring together Christian influencers from various denominations to explore theology, church history, and the gifts of the Spirit. We don’t always agree with the views of our guests. And, we don’t expect that you will always agree, either. But we are brothers and sisters in Christ, and we agree to humbly approach God’s Word so we can better understand it together.

In each episode, we strive to offer constructive dialogue and healthy pushback without veering into argumentative or combative territory. Expect each Remnant Radio episode to be not only informative but also encouraging, entertaining, and, hopefully, inspiring. Our ultimate goal is to help every individual break out of their theological echo chamber and engage in the conversation.

Well In this episode of The Remnant Radio we will be examining the origins and inspecting the validity of this "new perspective". As we look at the new perspective we will primarily engage with material from E.P. Sanders, N.T. Wright, and James Dunn as they are the most Influential voices who have promoted and popularised the New Perspective On Paul.
Time permitting, we will be explaining the three major Interpretive insights that the NPP offers and contrasting these lenses against Protestant and Roman Catholic positions. It should be an exciting episode! I will see you all at 4PM CST!

Do We Interview False Teachers? Why Remnant Radio Interviews Controversial Leaders! Apr 23, 2022

Show notes

Do We Interview False Teachers? Why Remnant Radio Interviews Controversial Leaders!
We are often asked, “why do you interview all these false teachers”. Questions, or rather, accusations like these are often lobbed at us because of the false binary pushed by many heretic hunting ministries. Either you are perfectly orthodox or you are a rank heretic. These binaries are further crystallized when we begin to interview those who are often Identified as NAR leaders. However, we think there is a lot more nuance, shades of gray if you will, between a heretic and a sound teacher. Many in the chat, and on our Facebook posts were calling for a public denouncement of Bill Johnson, Mike Bickle, and Todd White. Though we may disagree with these men on various issues, no one on our team is ready to cry “heretic”. So in this episode of The Remnant Radio, we explain where we stand theologically with guys like Bill Johnson, Mike Bickle, and Todd White. This is not a critique of their ministries, this isn't an attack on what they practice, this video is an attempt at an objective examination of their teachings and practices in order to explain why we think they fall under the banner of “orthodox”.

The NAR Debate! Randy Clark Responds To Dr. Doug Geivett and Holly Pivec Apr 19, 2022

Show notes

The NAR Debate! Randy Clark Responds To Dr. Doug Geivett and Holly Pivec
As many of you know, we are charismatic. But we hold a position on the N.A.R. that is not healded among many Charismatics. In fact, we probably hold a mediated position between theologians like Dr. Randy Clark and Dr. Michael Brown and those views held by Dr. Doug Geivett, and Holly Pivec.
We think the New Apostolic Reformation is a helpful category when trying to identify especially harmful charismatic movements. On the other hand, "NAR" has become the new charismatic slur meant to insult and malign, and this is entirely unhelpful. As we see it the category Is only helpful when it is applied to individuals and organizations that actually fit the pre-determined qualifications.
Last year we hosted a wonderful conversation with Dr. Doug Geivett and Holly Pivec covering their book "A New Apostolic Reformation?: A Biblical Response to a Worldwide Movement ". It was after this video that we were soon introduced to Dr. Randy Clark. Randy has been collecting data from Apostolic movements that he believes refutes many of the claims made by Doug and Holly. We anticipated having him on last year, but some of the surveys were not complete. In order to make a compelling case, we waited until all the data could be compiled.
That being said, THE WAIT IS OVER! Dr. Randy Clark Is making his debut appearance on Remnant Radio Tomorrow at 4PM CST. Make sure to share the link around, it is promised to be an exciting program!

Is There A Difference Between OT & NT Prophecy? Apr 13, 2022

Show notes

Is There A Difference Between OT & NT Prophecy?
There are two views of Prophecy held by Continuationist. The more popular of the two is the discontinuity view. The Discontinuity view states that the gift of prophecy has fundamentally shifted from the Old Testament to the New Testament. This view asserts that the OT Prophets prophesied Infallibly whereas the NT prophets prophesied with a possibility of partial or complete error.
The other view held by the Continuationist Is the continuity view. This view asserts that prophecy is always fallible In both OT and NT. However, the writings of scripture Including prophecy Is infallible. Today we will be discussing these two positions see you all soon.

What Is Universal Salvation: With Michael McClymond Apr 12, 2022

Show notes

What Is Universal Salvation: With Michael McClymond
In this video, Michael McClymond is with us to discuss the doctrine of universal Salvation. In this video, Michael McClymond will equip us with a strong orthodox apologetic for reaching those who embrace universal salvation. Specifically the branch of universalism that has snuck into modern evangelical churches "Christian universalism". Michael McClymond will give us the origins, theological errors, and erroneous philosophical assumptions found in Christian Universalism in order to rescue those who hold such a dangerous position.
As many of you know we find the doctrine of universal salvation to be reprehensible and heterodox to the Christian faith. Many leaders, even friends of ours, have moved closer and closer to completely eradicating the punitive wrath of God until the God they worship is an Idol of their own making and not the God of the Bible. This trend appears to increase year by year and an episode like this is probably past due.

Isaiah Saldivar Responds To Criticism Apr 08, 2022

Show notes

My new friend Isaiah Saldivar is coming on the show today. As many of you know, we have reviewed some of Isaiah's material In former episodes. We have always recognized Isaiah as a brother in Christ and a fellow laborer In the Gospel, we have only disagreed with a few tertiary teachings. Isaiah has been kind enough to engage with our criticisms with civility and mutual respect. So today we will be hashing out our areas of disagreement Live! Please note, that today's show is going to be live at 3PM CST rather than our usual 4PM time frame due to competing schedules.
See you all today at 3PM CST!

The Life of Charles Spurgeon The Healing Ministry of Charles Spurgeon Apr 08, 2022

Show notes

Did you know that Charles Spurgeon saw not hundreds but thousands of healings as he prayed for the sick? Well, I had no clue! Paul King was the first person I ever heard speak of Charles Spurgeon's healing ministry. Turns out, it really is a thing! "The Life of Charles Haddon Spurgeon: The worlds great preacher" by Russell Conwell Published in 1892 gives details of these healing testimonies.
Let me be clear, Charles Spurgeon was not a flaming charismatic, or card-carrying pentecostal. This guy was a 19th-century particular baptist. Yet his life seems marked by supernatural healings and what most charismatics would call a genuine gift of prophecy. So in this episode, we won't be trying to claim that Spurgeon was somehow a charismatic forefather, rather will be examining his life, teaching, and practice on healing and prophecy in order to learn from his example.
