Torben Sondergaard: Kicked Out Of Denmark For Casting Out Demons
There Is this guy named Torben Sondergaard, and he has this ministry called "the last reformation", well, It looks like he was just kicked out of Denmark because he was casting out demons. Did you hear that? I said, "the secular nation of Denmark made laws targeting Torben In order to kick him out of the country." Why? Not because his doctrines were too radical, not because his faith was too extreme, he was removed because he performed deliverances in public places. This Is wild!
So Torben will be coming on the show today in order to share his story. We will obviously be talking about deliverance, and why he sees so much of it.
See you all today at 4PM CST

There are questions about how Barth viewed the scriptures were, his trinitarian views were questionable at times, and it appears he may have even been an open theist, as the accusations go. So in this episode, we will be diving Into the life and teachings of Karl Barth.

Baptist Pastors Who Helped Azusa: With Dr. Doug Weaver May 16, 2022

Show notes

Baptist Pastors Who Helped Azusa: With Dr. Doug Weaver
When I think of the Azusa Street revival I often think of the persecution/ridicule that the classical Pentecostals endured under the mainline denominations. However, there are some unsung heroes of the Azusa Street revival, And you guessed it, they were baptist pastors. In fact, it was the baptist trained pastors who were instrumental in purging the modalist out of the pentecostal movement. Had it not been for these great men, pentecostal and charismatic history might have unfolded in a more heretical way.
In this episode of The Remnant Radio we interview Dr. Doug Weaver. Doug is coming back on the show to discuss the Baptist pastors who helped guide the theological aftermath of the Azusa street revival.

Platonic Philosophy In Christian Theology: With Dr. Louis Markos May 16, 2022

Show notes

Platonic Philosophy In Christian Theology: With Dr. Louis Markos
In this episode of The Remnant Radio, we are talking about the Greek Philosophy Plato! Plato had an incalculable impact on western thought, but how much impact should he have on the Christian faith? Many claim that platonic philosophy was responsible for cult groups like the gnostics, because of these accusations many more have chosen to write off many of the early church fathers altogether. Why? Well, It appears that they too were infected with this platonic philosophy. But was platonic philosophy inherently evil and anti-christian, or was platonic philosophy one of the necessary preconditions that prepared for the appearance of Christ?
In this highly requested theology podcast, we will be interviewing Dr. Louis Markos who is quite the expert on all things Plato. Dr. Markos has published a book with IVP called "From Plato to Christ: How Platonic Thought Shaped the Christian Faith" which is quite insightful both for the negative and positive byproducts of platonic philosophy within the Christian faith.

The History of John Calvin: With Dr. Stephen J. Nichols May 03, 2022

Show notes

In this episode of The Remnant Radio, Calvin Scholar Dr. Stephen J. Nichols from Reformed Bible Colledge gives us an examination of the life and teachings of John Calvin. We examine Calvin's Childhood, Education, and Early Protestant Protest. Additionally, we spend a good section of the show discussing Calvin's most influential teachings, such as Calvin's Institutes, Spiritual Presence of Communion, Union with Christ, and Calvin's influence on protestant ecclesiologies. Toward the end of the show, we even take time to discuss Calvin's beliefs about church discipline and whether or not he was responsible for the death of Michael Servetus. It should be an exciting program!

Responding To Our New Perspective Critics May 02, 2022

Show notes

Last week we did an episode explaining our thoughts on the "new perspective on Paul". Turns out some people did not care too much for what we had to say. So in this episode, we want to reiterate where we agree with the New Perspective, clarify areas that may have been misunderstood about our position, and respond to some of the comments left in our past video. Should be an exciting program!

Charismatic Legalism: When We Confusing Convictions With Commandments Apr 27, 2022

Show notes

Charismatic Legalism: When We Confusing Convictions With Commandments
In this episode of The Remnant Radio Michael, Michael and Josh are covering the Charismatic convictions that exist within the charismatic movement. Is it wrong to watch Harry Potter or Pokemon? Are there hidden cultic images in the toco bell logo or the monster energy drink can? Can we, or should we give our money to organizations like Target, Disney, and Starbucks if they promote antichristian values? Can a Christian enjoy a beer? Some may think these convictions are silly, others may find the reasons for these convictions compelling, but what does the word of God say? Fortunately for us, there are both principles in the scriptures and commands in the scriptures that can guide us through discerning if these convictions are personal or universal.
We need to realize that every single culture reads scripture with its own cultural mores. Charismatics are no more guilty of confusing their own code of ethics with the ethics of the Bible, than any other denomination or movement with Christianity. That being said, we are a charismatic theology podcast, and it's probably a good thing for us to want to talk this stuff out.

What Is Critical Race Theory? And Is Critical Race Theory Biblical? Apr 26, 2022

Show notes

What Is Critical Race Theory? And Is Critical Race Theory Biblical?
What is Critical Race Theory? Also popularly called CRT, Critical Race Theory posits a worldview that is daily used In civil discourse, being championed or demonized by media outlets, and is currently making Its way into the public school systems. You have youtube channels bent on hunting down all the "woke pastors" and you have leading evangelical denominations saying that CRT offers a helpful worldview for Christians to engage with. But what exactly does Critical Race Theory teach? And are the tenants of CRT biblical? In this episode, my buddy Ryan from Unsafe Media will be with us to discuss Critical Race Theory and help you understand this worldview with a biblical mindset.
Now, we are primarily a theology podcast. As a theology podcast, I have avoided producing a bunch of content on Critical Race Theory, as I thought it was outside of our lane. However, the more I studied Critical Race Theory I realized that there are claims made by coming in the CRT movement that has radical theological implications. So without further ado, I hope you enjoy this episode of The Remnant Radio
