This week, Jim Reid and the panel are joined by some exciting guests to kick off a year of Mixed Games podcast episodes, featuring the “Mixed Game of the Month” in our free home game club! This month, we are practicing Limit 2-7 Triple Draw - and the first practice game is tomorrow night! The panel start with a basic explainer about the mechanics of the game, and then we are joined by several mixed game enthusiasts and experts. This week, Jim Reid leads the RecPoker RECing Crew through a forum post by Rob Washam about a hand he played at the Orleans against an aggressive foe while out of position. Rob 3-bets preflop and gets called, and flops pretty well - but how can we maximize our profitability in this spot versus this opponent? The last few weeks we looked at how to avoid ‘giving up’ out of position when we don’t hit our hand - now how do we get max value when we DO connect with the board? While battling it out against each other in the nightly home game, the panel discusses raise sizes, player types, postflop betting lines, planning for good and bad runouts, when and how to deviate from GTO, and more!

He won the Global Poker Award for Best Broadcaster in 2023, while the Poker in the Ears podcast, which James co-presents with Joe Stapleton, was named Best Podcast in 2022.
