Rainmakers! We've got a special treat for you today. :) We recently sent one of our Rainmaker coaches on a secret mission to Mexico. Although we won't go into details about the mission, we can tell you that she met some fantastic people. ;) More on that later. Today we have two successful Amazon sellers and moms, joined us for an insightful interview that you won't want to miss!

Amy and Kimberly, both Amazon sellers and mothers, have not only built multiple brands on the Amazon platform but have also sold businesses in the past. They share their journey into Amazon FBA and how it has impacted their lives.

Amy, who used to be in the events industry, decided to change her career path to spend more time with her children. After coming across a podcast about Amazon, she jumped headfirst into the world of Amazon FBA. She started with a course, then learned from other successful sellers to find her path.

Kimberly was drawn to Amazon FBA because of the time and creativity it allowed. She loved the idea of not having to unload containers and how seamlessly she could scale her business. She has since expanded her business to the UK and Australia.

Both moms agree that the flexibility and scalability that Amazon FBA offers are unmatched. Partnering with a billion-dollar company like Amazon makes it easy to reach potential customers without having to invest in marketing campaigns. As Amy puts it, "the world is your oyster with Amazon."

When asked about the common misconception that Amazon takes all the sellers' money, Kimberly likens Amazon FBA to setting up a shop in the busiest shopping center in the city, where hundreds of thousands of people walk by your storefront every day. The fees are a small price to pay for the traffic and convenience it provides.

The key to succeeding in all areas of life and busines is having the right mindset.

Our 12-month mastermind program has been going strong, and we recently had a Monday mindset call where Steven and I did a training on how to be a powerful person in your business and life. It was an eye-opening session, and we wanted to share some of the key takeaways with you.

On the Rainmaker Family Show, we bring in tons of guests with different authority, and mindset is one of those things that you sometimes have to hear over and over again until it clicks. But trust us, it's worth it!

During our call, we talked about the power of having a positive mindset and how it can influence all areas of your life. We discussed the importance of visualizing your goals and having a clear vision of what you want to achieve.

We also talked about the impact of surrounding yourself with like-minded people who can support and encourage you on your journey. Having a strong support system can make all the difference in achieving your goals.

One of the most important takeaways from the call was the importance of taking action. You can have the best mindset in the world, but if you don't take action, nothing will change. We encouraged our listeners to take small steps towards their goals every day and to stay consistent.

At the end of the call, we felt energized and motivated, and we hope our listeners did too. We believe that mindset is a powerful tool that can help you achieve success in all areas of your life.

105. Parenting, Entrepreneurship, and Raising Boys: Wisdom from Joe and Amanda Barton Mar 31, 2023

Hey, Rainmaker! Stephen and Chelsey here, and we just had the pleasure of interviewing Joe and Amanda Barton on the Rainmaker Family Show. We met them through a mutual mastermind and were excited to pick their brains on marriage, parenting, and entrepreneurship.

Joe and Amanda have been married for 26 years and have four boys, and they shared with us their journey from working traditional jobs to becoming successful entrepreneurs. After boy number two arrived, they felt a strong desire for Amanda to stay home with their boys.

They took a leap of faith, cut their income in half, and Joe started his own business in internet marketing and digital publishing. Within two years, they were both working from home full-time, and their business took off.

As parents of boys ourselves, we were eager to hear their insights on raising sons while running a business. They reminded us to enjoy the crazy moments and flexibility that come with being your own boss. They also emphasized the importance of instilling values and convictions in their boys, and that everything you do before the age of four makes a big difference.

Even if you don't have kids or sons of your own, their sage advice is something we can all learn from as high achievers and people who want more out of their life and business!

One of the key takeaways from our conversation is the importance of intentionality. Whether it's planning vacations, celebrating milestones, or budgeting, being intentional in your actions can make a big difference in your family life and business. They also highlight the importance of empowering children from a young age to manage and steward their own resources, teaching them the value of money and how to make it work for them.
