78: The Most Important Things I Do Every Year Jan 08, 2019
    Show notes

One of the most important exercises you can do over the holidays is to take an audit of the previous year and honestly evaluate what you did well, what you could have done better, and how you’ll carry that knowledge into the New Year. That’s exactly what I’m going to do on this week’s episode, explore all the victories and defeats of the biggest year in my company’s existence and discuss how to arm myself with that knowledge moving forward.

And, if you're looking for a gift for the person who loved Girl, Wash Your Face, Girl, Stop Apologizing is coming out March 12, 2019. I record the audio and it's available for pre-sale today! amzn.to/2RxC6eY

Did you know the documentary of our live-event RISE is back in theaters on Jan 2 and Jan 9? Rachel Hollis Presents: Made for More is a 90-minute (amazing, I'm biased, but trust me) film with a 30-minute bonus -- Rachel teaching on a excerpt from Girl, Stop Apologizing. 2-hours of amazing content and community for the price of a movie ticket --> bit.ly/2QmG3Ws

77: Building a Business You Believe In with Tory Jones Jan 01, 2019
    Show notes

When you start a business, it becomes your life. One of the most important pieces of advice I could give to any entrepreneur would be to model your company’s values and ethics on your personal values and ethics, even if it comes at the cost of some of your profitability or a heavier workload. That’s exactly what Tory Jones has done with Ixchel Triangle, using Guatemalan artisans to hand-weave the bags, while paying them above market rate and sharing profits with them.

Tory talks about why she vows to never use a factory to produce her products, how she grew her business from the ground up, and her interesting career before becoming an entrepreneur.

I begin every day of my life doing this habit. I've been doing it for years... I believe it's the single greatest reason I've achieved the success that I have. In this episode of the RISE podcast I'm sharing the first chapter of the Start Today Journal. I believe in this process so much I want to give away the details for free... after all, I didn't have a fancy journal to do it in, I wrote it down on any piece of paper I could find.
