    1165 | Lisa Jimenez: “Failure + Failure = Success.” May 20, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Lisa Jimenez accentuates the factors that may keep you from the ultimate breakthrough success you deserve. She shares this to us by illustrating how courage and knowledge are vital elements of greatness.

Since way back, we were taught to fear rejections and see failures in a bad light. But for Lisa, these misconceptions just elicit self-limiting beliefs that hinder your growth and potential. For this reason, Lisa argues that anything taught to you can be unlearned.

If your thoughts, fears, and ideas are limiting you, then unlearn them. Because what you think about fear, rejection, and failure ultimately affects your actions, decisions, and overall character. Finally, Lisa is reminding you to never doubt the power of your own potential. Dare to unlearn these self-limiting beliefs and retrain your brain once again.

1164 | Angela Duckworth: “Talent Counts, but Effort Counts Twice.” May 19, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Angela Duckworth presents to us the crucial role of grit, effort, and hard work in achieving your dreams, glory, and success.

According to Angela, the person’s exceptional application of the skill, which is honed by consistent and quality efforts, creates human achievement. For this reason, she asserts that talent counts, but effort counts twice as much.

Angela further illustrates how hard work can beat talent, especially when talent refuses to work hard. As Gandhi once said, “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will.” Likewise, Angela shows that grit is what sustains people to keep going no matter what. In the long run, grit is what will keep your aspirations and dreams alive.

1163 | Bob Proctor: “It Takes Guts. And if You Haven’t Got Guts You Don’t Deserve to Win.” May 18, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Bob Proctor highlights the strength of the will and the power of the mind. He presents this to us by elaborating on the value of ideas, beliefs, and self-confidence as foundations of human flourishing and resounding success in this episode.

According to Bob, self-confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings. A success story starts with ideas, but not everyone can absolutely believe in them and consistently act on them. He further contends that sacrifice comes first before success. And if you’re not prepared to pay the price, then you don’t deserve the reward.

As Bob shares his story, we discover that what differentiates successful people from others is their ideas. Successful people once believed they could stand right on top of the world. They believed they could, and so they did. Indeed, what you can conceive, you can definitely achieve.

1162 | Randy Gage: “It Seems the Older We Get, The More We Give Up on Our Dreams.” May 17, 2021
    Show notes

Randy Gage starts off the week with his observation that the older we get, the more we give up on our dreams. And as we give up on our dreams, life turns into a blatant and monotonous routine.

In this episode, he elaborates on how to get your dreams back. According to Randy, most people miss out on real life because they give up on their dreams. As a result, they settle for a life of quiet desperation when they could be living a life of joy, adventure, and prosperity.

Still, Randy believes that there are no limits to what we can dream. For this reason, he provides us with a dream opportunity: An opportunity to give your dreams a chance to be fulfilled and to finally enable you to live a life of happiness and abundance.

1161 | Rev. Ike: “You Are Whoever You Say You Are.” May 14, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Rev Ike narrates to us a story of affirmation and success. And through this story, he elaborates on how to manifest and bring out our inner aspirations and the good we desire.

According to Rev Ike, what a man thinks, he becomes. For this reason, he highlights the power of feelings, beliefs, and the significance of self-affirmation. So go around feeling, thinking, and acting like you are who you want to be. Affirm and claim, “Yes! I am that I am.”

In sum, he shows us that even the wrong person can get the proper blessing if they make themselves feel right. As the Book of Proverbs states, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” In the same way, with our thoughts and beliefs, we make our world.

1160 | Marisa Peer: “The Mind Believes What You Tell It.” May 13, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Marisa Peer highlights the power of words and language in our lives. Indeed, Marisa affirms that changing even one word can change an entire life.

According to Marisa, every thought you think and every word you say forms a blueprint, and your mind works to make that blueprint real. In other words, language can have a massive impact and direct influence on our minds and consequently our lives.

Finally, we are reminded to be aware of the words we speak because the mind believes whatever you tell it. Just as Plato once stated, “The soul is cured by certain incantations, and these incantations are beautiful reasons.” Likewise, the words you speak have power and impact in shaping your life.

    1159 | Brendon Burchard: “Reframe Expectations.” May 12, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Brendon Burchard illustrates how overworking negatively affects your physical and mental health. True enough, no one’s brain can go and work all the time.

According to Brendon, most of us believe that we have to be machines to produce great results and consistent achievements. However, we fail to see that stress and fatigue keep accumulating and may eventually leave us physically and mentally drained or burned out.

For this reason, Brendon affirms that it is okay to take a break and to let yourself take a rest. After all, there is virtue in both work and rest. Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to value your own life. At the end of the day, finding a healthy balance is one of the keys to success and enjoyable life.

1157 | Les Brown: “Ask for Help.” May 10, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Les Brown empowers us with a pearl of his wisdom on how to endure, get through, and overcome the most challenging periods of our lives.

According to Les, people collapse during tough times because they decide based on their emotions and let fear take control of their minds. For this reason, he highlights the rational thinking of a human being. Instead of being driven by fear, you must think your way through and actively work on a solution.

Les further underscores that it’s okay to ask for help and reminds us that asking for help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength, persistence, and determination to keep moving forward. And he reminds us that “Tough times never last, but tough people do.”

1156 | Cal Newport: “Quit Social Media.” May 07, 2021
    Show notes

In this episode, Cal Newport provides us with a distinct perspective about the role of social media in the competitive market and further elaborates its actual cost and danger to the skills relevant to the 21st-century economy.

According to Cal Newport, the market values the ability to produce things that are rare, relevant, and valuable. However, the use of social media proves to have an adverse effect on your abilities in the long run. He explains that social media fragments your attention, which has a detrimental effect on your concentration. And if you lose your ability to sustain concentration, then you lose the skills that the market actually values. For this reason, Cal reminds us to be wary of social media unless a positive and clear benefit is identified.

Finally, Cal gives us a glimpse of what life is like without social media—productive, peaceful, prosperous.
