Some time ago, Mark had the unique displeasure of discovering that his longtime girlfriend was not only cheating on him, but was simultaneously carrying on a whole OTHER longterm relationship with another man, totally unbeknownst to Mark. Lucky for us, as sad and upsetting as these stories tend to be (Mark's is both!), this one also happens to be HILARIOUS.

This episode is dedicated to everyone who's ever been cheated on. AND... for anyone who is either CURRENTLY cheating on their longtime partner, or even just PLANNING to cheat on their longtime partner, here is some free advice: however good you think you are at keeping your indiscretions secret... we promise, you are NOT THAT GOOD AT IT. One day, you WILL get caught. Just like Mark's ex eventually got caught. Just like everyone eventually gets caught. So stop it! Stop it right now!

Are you familiar with 'Butlers in the Buff'? If not, that's okay— neither was Matt. In short, they're basically male strippers for hire, for private events, who act like butlers. Naked butlers— at your service!

It's actually a good-paying gig, if you look the part and can put up with...uh...ya know...being naked and pretending to be someone's butler. And most gigs are pretty simple and straightforward, despite the job's basic requirements.

But what happens when one of these gigs goes wrong? Well that's what John is here to tell us about. We don't wanna give too much away and spoil the story for you, but the headline John gives Matt before telling it is this: 'strippers, cops, and cocaine'. Sooooo yeah. When The Anesthesia Doesn’t Work Jul 17, 2024

Kelsey’s first pregnancy was going about as well as it possibly could. No major concerns or issues along the way… until it came time to actually deliver the baby. When Kelsey’s baby daughter began having difficulty entering the world the ‘normal’ way, her doctors decided a c-section was necessary. But these happen all the time, so it was no big deal— until they began operating, and Kelsey realized the anesthesia wasn’t working… AT ALL.

Unlike most surgeries, during child birth you can’t just stop everything and try to figure out what’s wrong. There’s a baby coming, and that baby ain’t waitin’… not even for the drugs to start working on mom!

This is, in Kelsey’s own words, ‘the birthing story from hell’.

When Ryan was young and dumb, he and his young and dumb guy friends were out on the town looking for the things young dumb guys out on the town are always looking for— girls and a good time. Unfortunately, before things even got going, Ryan's car got towed. But when Ryan and his young and dumb crew got to the tow yard, no one was there. Just a bunch of cars. All they could do was wait. Until one of Ryan's young and dumb pals (the designated driver for the night, no less!) decided to bust Ryan's car out of vehicle prison. Off they went, back onto the town looking for girls and good time.

The next day Ryan woke up with a hangover and big fat dose of anxiety— was he in trouble? Wasn't that... illegal? What the hell were he and his friends thinking?! He waited for the cops to come calling— but they never did.

At least, not the way Ryan expected. It took a few years, but eventually those cops DID come calling... and there were about two dozen of them... and they all had their guns pointed at Ryan's head.

Ryan may be a real piece of sh*t (by his own admission!) but if there's one thing he's good at, it's telling this story. You don't wanna miss this one, folks!

But what if one of those scammers REALLY WAS a psychic? And just happened to ALSO be a scammer? That's what our guest Alexis is here to tell us about... and her story is truly bingbong bonkers.

Now, Matt does not exactly 'believe' in 'psychics'. But some of the details of Alexis's account of her experience with this scammer-psychic (who shall remain nameless, because of an NDA Alexis had to sign to finally get her money back!) are just TOO outrageous to wave away as part of some well-thought-out scam. But where does the scam begin? And where does the psychic-ing end? And honestly how the HELL did Alexis (AND two of her friends) end up forking over a total of MORE THAN TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS to this woman??! Gotta listen (or watch) to find out!

While staying with his family in Oklahoma for a brief spell, our guest Brandon was going to visit his friend in Arkansas a for a quick weekend camping trip. On the way there, he decided to make a stop in Fayetteville to get a little of that sticky icky green stuff for a little extra enjoyment. (This was in 2017– well before it was legal in most states.) When Brandon finally found someone who said she had a connection who could hook him, he was stoked. Unfortunately, her connection had other ideas— which included a concrete slab to Brandon’s skull, and a steel toe boot to Brandon’s face (15+ times). Robbed and left for dead, Brandon somehow survived. And THIS is when Brandon’s story REALLY gets wild. Trust us when we say— if there’s one episode you wanna listen to or watch all the way to the very end, this is the one!

This one’s got a shootout in broad daylight, a 6-hour SWAT Team standoff in suburban Utah, a dog drenched in tear gas, a meth-head named ‘Tigger’, another meth-head escaping a crime scene in a woman’s wig, and whole lotta other crazy details too— but it also has a big heart, one that sneaks up on you and eventually takes over the whole frigging episode, thanks to Harlie and the earnest, honest way she tells her family story of crime, addiction, violence, forgiveness, and an unbreakable father-daughter bond.
