After last episodes interview with Ethan Van Sciver The Podcast of Oa gets caught up with all of the August Green Lantern titles as co-hosts Bill Giancoli and Myron Rumsey run through all the latest issues in the Green Lantern family of comics. Both hosts agreed that many of the issues felt like a little rushed as the creative teams needed to wrap up any current storylines before taking part in DC's September Futures End event and then plunging into the Green Lantern/ New Gods event, Godhead. Myron poses some major questions about how the Red Lantern civil war ended and both hosts were underwhelmed with the conclusion to the Psions story in Green Lantern: New Guardians, but both enjoyed seeing Hal Jordan get to enjoy a little slice of home in this month's issue of Green Lantern.

Episode 71 of The Podcast of Oa was recorded live at the Twin Tiers Comic-Con in Elmira, New York on August 17th. Co-hosts Bill Giancoli and Myron Rumsey moderated a panel with the artist on Green Lantern: Rebirth, Ethan Van Sciver. Myron and Bill discuss the story's impact on the resurgence of the Green Lantern mythos ten years ago. Van Sciver shares some insight on role H.E.A.T. played in bringing Hal Jordan back, his opinion of the books during the Kyle Rayner era, how he insisted that Sinestro be a part of the story and what he's doing now. We also get a hint at Ethan's upcoming return to the Green Lantern Universe and the truth behind the rumors about he and Gail Simone on a Green Lantern graphic novel. Red Sky at Night, Atrocitus' Delight Podcast of Oa co-hosts, Bill Giancoli and Myron Rumsey, are back for episode 70 with more discussion about the most recent issues of the Green Lantern family of comics. Myron and Bill both enjoy the character work in Sinestro #4 while the two had different experiences with Green Lantern: New Guardians #33. The second and third installments of the Atrocities arc in the Red Lanterns series serve as a series high point and both hosts express their appreciation of Charles Soule's hard work. Listener feedback continues to provide fuel for conversation and this episode the talk turns to the similarities between recent events in Green Lantern Corps and a classic Legion of Superheroes story. In episode 66 of The Podcast of Oa co-hosts Bill Giancoli and Myron Rumsey cover a lot of ground, discussing the debut of Sinestro's standalone title in addition to four more books in the Green Lantern family, including the Green Lantern: New Guardians Annual #2 which begs the question, "Are you Team Kyle or Team Hal?" Clearly the hosts are on different pages when it comes to the Kyle/Carol relationship with Bill in favor of seeing where the story goes while Myron feels the relationship seems unorganic at best.

Myron and Bill continue to chat about DC Entertainment's movie plans, this episode responding to listener emails about the topic as well as the official announcement that a Justice League movie is going to be made after the Man of Steel sequel. Myron also comments on the recent passing of fellow comics fan and podcaster Jamie D from Comic Geek Speak.
