    The People’s Court Podcast

The honorable Judge Marilyn Milian presides over the four-time Emmy award winning “The People’s Court.” For more than two decades, Milian has dispensed justice and provided legal insight in the courtroom where justice and reality collide. And now, you can take the show on the go with “The People’s Court Podcast.”

“The People’s Court Podcast” draws on ordinary people who have filed grievances in civil court and have opted to have their cases heard and mediated by Judge Milian. Running the gamut from disputes between neighbors and family members, to dissatisfied customers suing businesses, Milian’s decisions – based on current law – are final and binding.

Joining Milian is multiple Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter Harvey Levin, who serves as the series’ host and legal reporter. In the courtroom, Milian is joined by court officer Douglas McIntosh. Doug Llewelyn interviews litigants after a decision has been rendered in their cases.

    Banging Up a Bike' & 'Not Finishing Up' & 'Having a Break-Down' Apr 07, 2025
    Show notes

First, the plaintiff says the defendant backed into his motorcycle and knocked it down, damaging it. Not only that, the guy never told him and he had to get surveillance footage from his building. He’s suing for what he’s owed for damages. The defendant says the plaintiff was parked illegally in the defendant’s assigned spot, and all that happened was a broken mirror.

Then, the plaintiff says he hired the defendant to do some yardwork, but the guy never finished the job before he took off. He claims he had to pay a new landscaper to get it done, so he’s suing for that cost. The defendant says he wrapped the job and was paid — and tipped — and now the plaintiff wants his money back?

Plus, the plaintiff says he has five cars serviced at the defendant’s garage, but all of them have problems. He alleges the defendant won’t honor his warranties, so he’s suing for the state maximum, $5,000. The defendant says the plaintiff is a troublemaker who still owes him money.

She argues she told the plaintiff about his health history.

Then, the plaintiff says she and her boyfriend rented a two-bedroom apartment from the defendant, which turned out to be a huge mistake.
