    Chuck Dowell, PA-C discusses the increase in pickleball injuries seen with the increasing popularity of the sport. Achilles tendon ruptures and gastroc injuries or Achilles tendinopathy injuries are common. In this case study, a novice pickleball player was pushing off on his right leg, felt a pop within the right calf/Achilles tendon area, and was unable to continue to play.
