Yin: A Love Story Feb 12, 2016

Show notes

Traditional Chinese culture rests upon the shoulders of three great sages, Confucius, the Buddha, and Lao Tzu. YIN is the story of the latter, the most mysterious and least known of the heavenly trio, and his quest for a soul mate, a quest answered by a tortoise, a Galápagos giant to be precise, brought to him, as a tiny baby, from across the great Pacific. A work of magical realism in the vein of Gabriel Garcia Márquez and David Mitchell, YIN chronicles the efforts of the great sage to create the woman of his dreams. It is a novel of idealism, frustration, persistence, unimaginable endurance, failure, tragedy, and triumph. Set alternately in current China’s era of economic marvels and social change, and in the formative, ancient dynasty during which the seeds of today’s great nation were sown, YIN entrances and enchants as a love story for the ages, yet also mines an ancient philosophy to offer readers both a different way of thinking and of looking at the world, and a recipe for social and environmental change. Tune in to this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, as host, June Stoyer talks to Tai Chi Master, Taoist monk, and best-selling author, Arthur Rosenfeld also known as Yunrou to talk about his new book, Yin: A Love Story. Yin is a beautifully written story that is thought provoking and symbolic. It is the type of book that will make you think about your own journey and develop a deeper appreciation for the world around you. If you love books that are chock filled with symbolism, spiritual meaning and the intricate connection each being has with one another, this is one interview you don’t want to miss! Stay tuned! What Vietnam Vets Need To Know About Agent Orange Dioxin Poisoning Feb 09, 2016

Show notes

During the Vietnam War, the US military sprayed millions of gallons of Agent Orange and other herbicides on trees and vegetation. Several decades later, there were numerous concerns about the health effects due to exposure to these chemicals. One of the groups impacted by Agent Orange Dioxin poisoning is the servicemen who were at sea, often referred to as Blue Water Navy. This includes Coast Guard and Fleet Marine personnel. Although it has been over forty years, there are still so many servicemen as well as their offspring who continue to suffer due to Agent Orange Dioxin poisoning. While the United States Veterans Administration offers “eligible Veterans”, a free Agent Orange Registry health exam to assess possible long-term health problems related to exposure, gathering the information is quite a task. However, there are people out there who are doing everything they can to help our veterans get the help that they need. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Mr. John J. Bury, a retired US Navy and Vietnam War Veteran. He is going to talk about Agent Orange Dioxin poisoning and his work as an advocate, helping others that have also been affected. Today's show is sponsored by Molecular Bliss, a veteran owned business creating a new and unique molecular line of jewelry for both men and women in the form of neurotransmitters, which are Serotonin, Dopamine, Norepinephrine and Gaba. Is Organic Agriculture Doomed? Feb 05, 2016

Show notes

With the approval of GMO Alfalfa, GMO Sugar Beets and GMO Corn, organic farmers are fighting harder than ever to protect their land and crops. Meanwhile, the agro-chemical companies are pleased that their profits are soaring. It is assumed that organic is in peril. Why is this devastating to organic farmers? One main reason is cross-fertilization. This is especially disastrous for organic farmers because once an organic field is contaminated, the organic farmer’s certification is at risk. The organic label prohibits the use of GMO crops. Losing organic certification would mean the farmer’s goods can no longer be sold for the premium price that helps cover the costs of growing organically. According to Farmaid.org, most genetically engineered crops hitting the market are developed by multinational companies such as Monsanto, Syngenta, Dupont and Dow Chemical to increase their sales and push their related pesticides. For example, Roundup Ready crops are engineered to withstand Monsanto’s toxic herbicide Roundup. With Roundup Ready alfalfa and sugar beets on the market, Monsanto can expect increased profits from its new seeds, as well as increased sales of Roundup herbicide to douse all those new seeds. This has also been a core issue for the beekeeping community which has expressed concern that the combination of GMO crops with the companion technology of neonicotinoids is devastating the rapidly declining bee population. It appears that the fate of organic farmers in the USA seems doomed but is it? In this encore segment of The Organic View, host, June Stoyer talks to organic farming advocate, Dr. Bob Quinn, President of Kamut® International. Today's show is sponsored by Eden Foods. Why Did the Cancer Disappear: Become Free From Cancer & Promote Health. Feb 04, 2016

Show notes

According to Cancer Research UK, 1 in 3 of people will develop cancer of some sort in their lifetime. The cause of most diseases including cancer remains unknown. Treatment is therefore of the symptoms of diseases rather than the causes of the disease itself. Unsurprising, 75% of all visits to the doctor involve symptoms of illness which are based on excessive or chronic stress. Whilst medication helps in the short term, current scientific research indicates that unless chronic stress is addressed in a timely manner, further diseases are inevitably created. Ignoring the psychosocial and emotional aspects that are impacted on the individuals life produce an ever revolving cycle of mental instability that impacts on the person's ability to function within the normal realms of well-being. Therefore the need to take responsibility for our health and well-being has never been so important. In this segment of The NLP View Radio Show host, Donna Blinston, RGN talks to Marion Dias, about her best-selling book Why Did the Cancer Disappear: Become Free From Cancer & Promote Health. What Will It Take For Our Veterans To Get The Help They Need? Feb 01, 2016

Show notes

Over 2 million veterans still cannot get the help that they need. There are many Vietnam veterans who are so sick and are still being denied the help that they need to live yet the government has money to help other people in need. These brave people cannot work because they are so ill and therefore cannot provide for themselves much less their families. There are two bills, HR-969 and S. 68 that would help these brave souls obtain the medical assistance that they need. However, they are having a hard time obtaining support from elected officials. Unless the public pushes for these bills to pass, these veterans will die before they receive that help. In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host June Stoyer talks to Mr. John J. Bury, a retired US Navy and Vietnam War Veteran. He is going to talk about attempts to pass bills HR-969 and S. 68 and why some of our elected officials are choosing to ignore veterans. Stay tuned!
