It's Monday, which means it's time for another episode of OBB Benched — where Orange Bowl Boys skip the football takes and just let things get weird. Episode 460 does not disappoint.

The boys kick things off by celebrating the 21st anniversary of one of the internet's original great moments: Leeroy Jenkins. From there, things spiral in the best possible way.

The week's scariest story lands next — the Denver airport incident where a man ran into a Frontier Airlines engine on the runway. The guys play the actual cockpit audio and break down the wild chain of events that followed, including theories about CIA black sites beneath Denver International and whether the whole thing was somehow escaped prisoners.

Then it's a full deep-dive into the greatest, most ridiculous names in sports history. Zye Whitewoman's commitment to the Haskell Indian Nations leads to a list that includes Dude Person, Steve Houyouxfet, Chubby Cox, Harry Colon, Johnny Dickshot, God Shammgod, and a Clemson pitcher named Titsworth who absolutely owns every room he walks into.

Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian went Instagram official this week, and the guys can't help but debate: who's the one celebrity you could never date based on their past? The car analogy gets deeply committed to. Tara Reid somehow ends up as the unanimous answer.

A Tampa wine mom got arrested at a U8 girls soccer game for running an unlicensed wine stand — complete with a square card reader, a chalkboard menu, and a signature blend called Referee Tears. The boys are fully on her side. And a 26-year-old Florida woman was pulled over on I-95 at 3 AM while riding a shopping cart with a shower curtain sail. Captain Jessica Sparrow.

#459: Miami's Season Opener & NIL Payroll | Bill Cosby with a Pen May 14, 2026

The boys are back for episode 459, and the vibe is different this time around. Miami football isn't just on the radar anymore — they're the target, and it feels good.

Kirk Herbstreit and Josh Pate have both gone on record calling the Canes a legitimate favorite to win the national championship. After 25-plus years of wandering in the wilderness, we're sitting here in May talking about Miami like it's 1987 all over again. Ro, Toast, and Scoop dig into what that actually means, whether to embrace the hype or pump the brakes, and why the "rat poison" framing doesn't even apply anymore.

They break down the jaw-dropping roster valuation numbers — Miami is reportedly the second-most expensive roster in college football at an estimated $44 million, trailing only Texas. A big chunk of that? The Darian Mensah buyout, which turns out was a very expensive transaction. Also in the mix: what role UHealth plays in all of this, why the old "eat what you kill" mentality under Donna Shalala is likely gone, and what it means for the program's financial future.

On the recruiting front, Mario flipped five-star corner Dante Wright out of Georgia, and the guys react to the Kirby Smart trolling that inevitably came with it. They also get into the Mark Matthews situation — the top-rated offensive tackle in the country, his decision timeline, and whether Miami can sell him on playing the right side while Cantwell holds down the left. And yes, losing Bob to Notre Dame stings a little.

Lane Kiffin found the spotlight again — this time via a Vanity Fair interview where he threw Ole Miss under the bus on his way out the door. The crew takes him apart, runs through his absolutely chaotic career timeline from getting fired by Al Davis to being dropped from a team bus at 3am at LAX, and debates whether LSU finally gets a return on their investment.

FSU comes up too, because it always does. The Norvell buyout is still somewhere between $45-51 million, the program is in genuine trouble, and there's apparently a faction of FSU fans lobbying to bring in Manny Diaz as the next head coach. The guys can barely contain themselves.

Instead of AD drama, playoff expansion, or post-Spring rankings... we're talking about crazy airline incidents, grown men crying, and beat reporters cooking GMs... welcome to OBB Benched!

We kick things off with the United Airlines plane that clipped a bakery truck on the Jersey Turnpike — and the real question nobody's asking: did the driver pass his drug test? Then a Delta flight out of Miami gets turned around on the taxiway because one woman refused to hang up her phone, delaying the whole plane two hours. The boys have thoughts. Strong ones.

From there it's on to a cruise ship hantavirus outbreak in Cape Verde — perfect timing since Ro is getting on a boat in July — followed by the single greatest NHL press conference clip we have ever heard. The beat reporter for the Toronto Sun showed up to the Toronto Maple Leafs GM introduction and absolutely cooked the new hire to his face, with the GM sitting right there at the table. "That's it?" That's it.

Then there's the JP Morgan lawsuit, where a former employee is claiming his female boss used promotions and perks to keep him as a personal sex slave. The story went from true, to false, to true again with two new witnesses — and JP Morgan apparently tried to settle for a million before it hit the courts. The boys are on Team Guy.

We wrap up with Five Questions: worst fast food chain at their own signature item (Arby's roast beef is rubber, fight us), small luxuries worth every penny, the scariest thing that's ever happened to you (one of the guys nearly took an AK-47 to the face on a SWAT call and didn't even know it), favorite rage songs, and what a man should smell like. AD Dan Radakovich is out six months early, and while the guys are fully behind whoever's calling the shots at The U, they dig into what the move probably means — and why the next person in that chair needs to be built for the NIL era, not the one before it. Miami just came off a playoff run and the brand is at an all-time high. That job posting is going to look very different than it did five years ago.

On the field, the guys are fired up. Brad Crawford at CBS Sports has Miami sitting at #1 in his post-spring top 25. The boys are back with a loaded episode 455. First up — the Dan Radakovich era is officially closing and the name circulating for Athletic Director is Michael Yormark, the guy with the Rock Nation resume and a twin brother running the Big 12. The crew breaks down what kind of AD Miami actually needs right now (hint: less CEO, more CMO/CFO hybrid), and why the NIL fundraising job matters a whole lot more than the traditional stuff.
Then it's full draft recap mode. Nine Hurricanes taken — Francis at 10, Reuben Bain at 15, Akeem at 22, Carson Beck, Markel Bell, Jacoby Thomas, Kete Scott, Cooper and CJ Daniels all hearing their names called. Then — did you see the Virginia Tech Spring Game? A parachutist carrying the American flag got blown off course and ended up tangled at the TOP of the scoreboard. The game was delayed.
