Joe Duncan joins Ed Opperman to talk about real crime, and his research into it.

On February 3, 2013 a former LAPD officer, named Christopher Dorner, attacked and killed Monica Quan and her fiancé Keith Lawrence. This incident sparked a nine day manhunt for Dorner ending in suicide.
Christopher Dorner was born June 4, 1979 in New York. He spent his childhood living in Los Angeles, transferring between multiple schools in the area. After graduating from Southern Utah University in 2001 Dorner joined the Navy reserve. On February 1, 2013, 2 days before he committed multiple homicides, he was honorably discharged from the Navy as a Lieutenant.
While Christopher Dorner was in the Navy reserve he joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 2005 and completed his training in 2006. A year later in 2007 Dorner filed a report a Complaint against his training officer Teresa Evans for using excessive force against a mentally ill man whom they arrested. Dorner claimed that Evans kicked the person that they arrested in the face while he was on the ground in handcuffs. His claims could not be substantiated and so were dismissed. Dorner was fired from the LAPD in 2008. He appealed his case multiple times, but each court affirmed the decision of the LAPD. Dorner claimed that racist colleagues had worked to discredit him and end his career. His final appeal was denied in late 2011.
But there's more to this story than the above quote would indicate. Joe Duncan has looked into the case, and he's got information the media missed.

Ed is joined by Arran Sheets aka Rob Shef, to discuss the mystery surrounding the crash of TWA 800 outside New York. At the time it was taken to be another crash, albeit any crash is tragic for all concerned.
Pretty soon word was put about by witnesses and people claiming to be insiders that it wasn’t a fault with the plane or pilot error; the bitter truth, they claim, is that TWA800 came down as the result of a missile hitting the plane.
Despite Government denials, these rumours have persisted, and the evidence for the claims has gathered in both credibility and weight. No one knows and no organisation has claimed responsibility for the missile, should it be a factual portrayal of events. This has spawned rumours in the same way 9/11 has grown into an entire movement.
Arran Sheets talks of his work, his research and his belief that the entire event is an orchestrated work of deception by shadowy figures as yet to be identified. But why?

Trans World Airlines Flight 800 (TWA800) was a Boeing 747-100 that exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near East Moriches, New York, on July 17, 1996, at about 8:31 pm. EDT, 12 minutes after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport, on a scheduled international passenger flight to Rome, with a stopover in Paris.: 1 All 230 people on board died in the crash; it is the third-deadliest aviation accident in U.S. history. Accident investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) traveled to the scene, arriving the following morning[1]: 313 amid speculation that a terrorist attack was the cause of the crash. Consequently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and New York Police Department Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) initiated a parallel criminal investigation.Sixteen months later, the JTTF announced that no evidence of a criminal act had been found and closed its active investigation.

Not Exactly the CIA: A Revised History of Modern American Disasters is literally a book cataloguing how the CIA have used patsies, third parties (willing and unwilling) and powerful paid actors to invoke change, revolution or dissent for increasingly opaque reasons.
Frank Phelps has researched everything from the Iran Contra scandal to the 9/11 event; his conclusions are unsurprising but that doesn't make them less terrifying.
He details how many of the disinformation programs are propagated to largely gullible public through both devious social media accounts and complicity of the mainstream media.
