Lynn Crook - False Memories - The Deception That Silenced Millions
Ed Opperman’s guest today is Lynn Crook. False memory syndrome is a go-to diagnosis for memories which, when recovered, seem to have no corroborating evidence. There’s a whole world of research into False Memory Syndrome, the causes and effects of ‘remembering’ things which never happened. But the syndrome has also become a useful tool in discrediting those whose recollections are clear enough, yet lack substantive evidence.

When states allowed adults who were molested as children to sue for damages, accused parents went on the offense. The parents claimed the accusations were false memories implanted by therapists. The parents established a non-profit and invested millions in a PR campaign to promote themselves as falsely accused, and to dismiss crimes committed against children as false memories. As evidence, they offered the story of an older brother who convinced his younger brother he was lost at a mall. The false memory story went viral. The popular press and psychology textbooks failed to challenge false memory claims. Individuals who challenged false memories were silenced. The author explains how her successful lawsuit against her parents helped her uncover the rest of the false memory story.
Lynn Crook, M.Ed., has a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Washington (1970). Lynn was herself a therapist when she recovered memories of childhood sexual abuse. Lynn Crook, MEd, successfully sued her parents for damages in 1994, based on a corroborated claim of childhood sexual abuse.

Hunter Biden Lap Top Update
Ed gives an update on the hunter Biden lap top after getting further corroboration from fmr CIA whistleblower.
It is alleged, Hunter Biden, the surviving son of the President, dropped off a laptop at a computer store to be repaired, and emails and photos were discovered on it, some involving his father.
The pictures are claimed to show Biden Jnr smoking crack and taking part in various sex acts, some of the pictures have been claimed to even capture abuse.
But it was the trove of emails which political manipulators considered to be most damaging to the Democrats and Joe Biden; fervent denials were made that Biden ever spoke to his son about his business dealings with Ukraine businessmen, something it is claimed now to be known to be untrue, with the evidence provided in emails.
The news was reported on in The New York post, after the technician involved in the computer repair cloned the harddrive (a standard procedure in computer repair), discovered the material on the original drive, copied the drive and then sent it to the then Presidents’ legal mind, Rudi Guilliani. The alleged smoking-gun email The Post claims is contained in an email and details Hunter Biden setting up a meeting between his father and a Ukrainian energy firm executive. Hunter Biden was paid by the firm a finders’ fee, of sorts.
With current media being polarised and driven by clicks and ads, the whole conspiracy has become something of a behemoth, with people making their decision of which side of the fence they are on largely on their political inclinations; the provenance of the Post’s story has even been called into question.
In this solo show, Ed Opperman details his ongoing investigations into the affair, being one of the few investigators to have covered this story periodically over the last few years with facts and insight, despite efforts by powerful hands to discourage his efforts.

Lydie Denier - A Voice For Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens
Lydie Denier was the fiancee of J. Christopher Stevens. Stevenswas an American diplomat who served as the U.S. Ambassador to Libya from May 2012, to September 2012. Stevens was killed when the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi, Libya, was attacked by members of Ansar al-Sharia on September 11–12, 2012.
Since Benghazi, there has been a lot of lies and misdirections about the events leading up to it, the response of both the US Government and localised forces and the personnel involved, many of whom sadly can no longer answer back.
In a extraordinarily personal interview, Ms Denier talks of her relationship with the Ambassador, the life they lead as a couple, of his conversations with her concerning his worries about his posting and ultimately the aftermath of the attack and the response – or lack of it – to the death of U.S. staff.
The book also serves as a psychological salve, a way of preserving Stevens through direct memory of the man he was, together with moving on from personal grief.
