The events of 22 November 1963 are still shrouded in mystery, despite recent releases of Government papers. Was it the CIA? The Mafia? Some nefarious factions of each working in concert? Could Oswald have worked alone or was he just a man who happened to be marked out. Oswald's life is as mysterious and full of trap streets as the main event. Just what went on?
Buell Wesley Frazier had previously worked in a department store and had handled curtain rods as part of his duties. When Oswald told him that his package contained curtain rods, Frazier saw nothing unusual about it. The bag found on the sixth floor was 38 inches long, and the disassembled rifle was 34.8 inches long.
In this interview Buell talks about the Oswald he worked with, the situation he found himself in and how, even after all these years, be believes there is so much more to come out we don't yet know.

Ed is joined by Ricardo Morales, whose story adds yet more credence to the conspiracies and fact-fog surrounding the events in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

Ricardo Morales, the Miami man who told his son he met accused presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald in a CIA training camp, was considered a credible source by the Agency and FBI. His heavily-redacted 130-page CIA personnel file, is found among the JFK assassination records whose release was postponed by the White House on October 22.
Morales also told his son that he met Oswald in a CIA training camp. He didn’t tell his son when or where. There was a training camp near New Orleans where Oswald lived in 1963, that was run by an anti-Castro group called the Movimiento Democratico Cristiano (MDC). Morales is known to have reported on MDC activities in 1964.
When Morales’s anti-Castro compatriots bombed a Polish ship and other communist targets in 1968, his fingerprints were found at one of the bombing scenes. The FBI received testimony that the explosives came from the CIA. Morales then became a witness for U.S. prosecutors. He wore a wire for the FBI while meeting with other Cuban suspects in the case. In a 1972 memo, the chief of the Agency’s Western Hemisphere division said the FBI considered Morales “honest and objective” as an informant.
Morales’s career as terrorist, drug trafficker, and informant grew ever more complex, as detailed in a mind-bending (and paywalled) Harper’s magazine cover story in January 1982. Morales was shot to death in a MIami bar in December 1982.
President Biden gave the CIA and other federal agencies until December 15 to release JFK files with a proviso they can delay sensitive material related to national security, military intelligence and the foreign policy until December 15, 2022.

Matthew Phelan - James O'Keefe, Project Veritas

Matthew Phalen joins Ed Opperman to discuss the mysterious yet widely referenced machinations of Project Veritas, and one of its' founders, James O'Keefe.
Project Veritas is an American far-right activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010. The group produces deceptively edited videos of its undercover operations, which use secret recordings in an effort to discredit mainstream media organizations and progressive groups. Project Veritas also uses entrapment to generate bad publicity for its targets, and has propagated disinformation and conspiracy theories in its videos and operations.
Targets of Project Veritas include Planned Parenthood, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), NPR, CNN, and The Washington Post. In 2009, Project Veritas associates published misleading videos that depicted ACORN employees providing advice on concealing illegal activity, causing ACORN to shut down after losing funding. ACORN was cleared of wrongdoing by the Attorney General of California in 2010, and the associates paid a total of $150,000 in settlements to an ACORN employee who sued for defamation. NPR CEO Vivian Schiller resigned in 2013 after Project Veritas released a deceptively edited video portraying another NPR executive making controversial comments about the Tea Party movement and NPR's federal funding. Project Veritas unsuccessfully attempted to mislead The Washington Post into publishing false information about the Roy Moore sexual misconduct allegations in 2017 the Post won a Pulitzer Prize after uncovering the operation. In 2022, a jury awarded $120,000 against Project Veritas for fraudulent misrepresentation concerning nonprofit Democracy Partners .

In 1987, he met Jeffrey Epstein through a British defense contractor named Douglas Leese (died 2011), who Hoffenberg claimed was an arms dealer.[15] Leese was, with Saudi Adnan Khashoggi and Prince Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, architect in the billion dollar Al-Yamamah arms deal, Britain's biggest arms deal ever concluded – earning the prime contractor, BAE Systems, at least £43 billion in revenue between 1985 and 2007.[16] Leese told Hoffenberg about Epstein: "The guy's a genius, he's great at selling securities. And he has no moral compass." Hoffenberg hired Epstein about 1987 and 1993 to help with the Towers Financial Corporation, paid him $25,000 a month and gave him a $2 million loan in 1988 that Epstein would never have to pay back.[17][3] Hoffenberg set Epstein up in offices in the Villard Houses.[3] They unsuccessfully tried to take over Pan Am in a corporate raid with Towers Financial as their raiding vessel. Their bid failed, in part because of the 1988 terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, which ultimately contributed to the airline's bankruptcy. A similar unsuccessful bid in 1988 was made to take over Emery Air Freight Corp.[3] During this period, Hoffenberg and Epstein worked closely together and traveled everywhere on Hoffenberg's private jet.[3][18][19] Hoffenberg began using Towers Financial funds to pay off earlier investors and pay for a lavish lifestyle that included a Locust Valley, New York, Long Island mansion, as well as homes on Sutton Place (in Manhattan) and in Florida, and a number of cars and planes.[3][20] In court documents, Hoffenberg claimed that Epstein was intimately involved in the Ponzi scheme.[21][22] Epstein left Towers Financial before it collapsed and was never charged for being involved with the massive investor fraud committed.[23][24]
