Lawrence Curtis - Steve Bannon Porn and Meth House Jun 06, 2024

Lawrence Curtis - Steve Bannon Porn and Meth House
    January 8
'You have no idea what kind of evil stuff went on'
The Florida 'party house' previously occupied by Steve Bannon had quite a reputation.
When award-winning underwater cinematographer Lawrence Curtis moved into the lush Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, he had no idea the house he was renting would become a national story.
But that’s because he didn’t know the prior tenant was Steve Bannon, adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and now the chief strategist in the White House.
In March 2017, the Washington Post published a profile on Bannon that included some shocking details, including the bizarre case of 1794 Opechee Drive, the house in Miami that Bannon claimed as his residence, along with his third ex-wife.
The Miami-Dade Police Department’s public corruption unit launched an investigation into whether Bannon had fraudulently registered to vote in that county. Bannon had signed the lease, listed himself as an occupant, and paid the rent every month.
One of Bannon’s colleagues, Arlene Delgado, testified that she had met with Bannon at the house on Opechee Drive, which he described as “my house,” where she saw “boxes, papers, and effects” that indicated he lived there. They met, according to Delgado, because Bannon had moved to Florida and wanted to increase the presence of the far-right Breitbart News, of which he was executive chair.
The meeting was corroborated by an email exchange between Bannon and Delgado.
Bannon’s ex-wife testified that he did indeed stay at the house with her, though she did not feel “comfortable” answering any further questions.
In the final report dismissing the investigation, law enforcement found “evidence that tends to indicate that [Bannon] did not intend to or actually did reside” in that county, but there was not sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Bannon had knowingly committed voter registration fraud.
The Washington Post focused primarily on the bizarre fact that Bannon listed the Opechee Drive house as his place of residence, despite living in California. The article lightly touched on the state of disrepair in which Bannon left the house — including a bathtub apparently destroyed by acid.
But the truth turns out to have been much worse than that.
When Curtis first saw the house, the real estate agent, Beatriz Portela, told him the previous tenants “were not very upstanding people” and had “severely damaged” the property.
They had “put padlocks on all the doors, installed video cameras, and had ruined the bathtub, kitchen counter, and floor.”
Worse, though, was that it had been a “party house,” she said, known for frequent drug use.
Carlos Herrera, who owned the house with with his wife, Andreina Morales, painted a picture of what initially seemed to be a normal tenancy but soon evolved into an almost daily parade of debauchery and drug use, including run-ins with the police.
“The conclusion is she was probably cooking meth in here,” Herrera said of Bannon's ex-wife. That would have explained the damage done to the bathtub and kitchen sink.

Daniel Hopsicker - The Final Interview on The Opperman Report
    Aug 24, 2023
With the sad passing of Daniel Hopsicker yesterday, we thought it might be a good idea to repeat his final interview with the Opperman Report as a tribute.
You can hear the gamut of Daniel's work with The Opperman Report tomorrow night on the Spreaker channel as a tribute.
Daniel Hopsicker was a film producer, director and investigative journalist whose primary focus was the illegal drug trade by the establishment in general, and the US deep state in particular. Hopsicker published The Mad Cow Morning News. Based in Venice, Florida, he carried out a number of investigations, notably exposing Mohammad Atta - whose observed lifestyle contradicted the official narrative that he was a strict Moslem.

Michael Robson - Joe Exotic; The man, the legend and the race for the Presidency
    Jul 12, 2023
Spokesman Michael Robson speaks to Ed Opperman about Joe Exotic, his career and his bid, from prison, for the Presidency of the United States in 2024
    From Wikipedia
Joseph Allen Maldonado known professionally as Joe Exotic and nicknamed "The Tiger King", is an American media personality, businessman, and convicted felon who operated the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (also known as the G.W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, from 1999 to 2018.
Exotic left the G.W. Zoo in June 2018 and was arrested three months later on suspicion of hiring two men to murder Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin, with whom he had a complicated rivalry. In 2019, Exotic was convicted and sentenced to 22 years in prison on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of attempted murder for hire for the plot to kill Baskin. In 2021, he worked with attorney John Michael Phillips to file a motion for a new trial, and on July 15, 2021, a U.S. appeals court ruled that the convictions for the two murder attempts were wrongly treated as separate. The trial court reduced his sentence by 1 year, resentencing him to 21 years in late January 2022. In 2023, Exotic announced his candidacy in the 2024 presidential election as a Democrat

    Sep 5, 2023
Grant Stern returns in this archive show to discuss the tale behind some of the older Trump Indictments.
Trump has long been associated with dark money and machinations, but this came to a head in the early part of his presidency. The delinquent attitude to the law and national interests meant his associations with Putin, his tax problems and the hush money scandal amongst many legal problems are almost too much to keep track of, let alone his current set of indictments.
Fortunately Grant Stern is on the case.

Sean Howe - AGENTS OF CHAOS - Thomas King Forçade, High Times & the Paranoid End of the 1970s
    Oct 4, 2023
Sean Howe joins Ed Opperman to discuss his book, Agents of Chaos, which focusses in on the legendary iconic, revolutionary publication High Times.
The life and times of High Times’ enigmatic founder Thomas King Forçade, an underground newspaper editor and marijuana kingpin who—between police raids, smuggling runs, and outrageous stunts—battled both the US government and fellow radicals.
At the end of the 1960s, the mysterious Tom Forçade suddenly appeared, insinuating himself into the top echelons of countercultural politics and assuming control of the Underground Press Syndicate, a coalition of newspapers across the country. Weathering government surveillance and harassment, he embarked on a landmark court battle to obtain White House press credentials. But his audacious exploits—pieing Congressional panelists, stealing presidential portraits, and picking fights with other activists—led to accusations that he was an agent provocateur.
As the era of protest faded and the dark shadows of Watergate spread, Forçade hoped that marijuana could be the path to cultural and economic revolution. Bankrolled by drug-dealing profits, High Times would be the Playboy of pot, dragging a once-taboo subject into the mainstream. The magazine was a travelogue of globe-trotting adventure, a wellspring of news about “the business,” and an overnight success. But High Times soon threatened to become nothing more than the “hip capitalism” Forçade had railed against for so long, and he felt his enemies closing in.
Assembled from exclusive interviews, archived correspondences, and declassified documents, Agents of Chaos is a tale of attacks on journalism, disinformation campaigns, governmental secrecy, corporatism, and political factionalism. Its triumphs and tragedies mirror the cultural transformations of 1970s America, wrought by forces that continue to clash in the spaces between activism and power.
