St John Hunt is the son of high ranking CIA operative E. Edward Hunt, one of the Watergate burglars and also implicated in the JFK assassination. As such he has the contacts and connections to produce informed and insightful profiles of figures who the public only see, broadly, one side to.
Roger Stone was one of the pillars of the Trump administration; an advisor in dapper suits and ties. But beneath the smooth, crisp exterior lies a devious, arrogant and dangerous personality.
His access to power was something that was engendered and encouraged by the far right and Bannon, and he continues to wield his influence, albeit between court appearances.

Tony Wright - Things Aren't Right - The Disappearance of the Yuba County Five

Tony Wright joins Ed Opperman to talk about the facts and the fictions behind the now legendary case of the Yuba County Five.
He's the author of two comic books and a graphic novel with Source Point Press. Tony is an archivist, father, husband, and a lost soul of rock and roll. When he is not writing, he is spending time with his family or enjoying a good meal. Tony has been featured as a Yuba County Five case expert on the Mopac Audio podcast Yuba County Five and was also featured as a case expert on the Motor Trend TV show Auto/Biography: Cold Case.
The book explores the bizarre and tragic 1978 disappearance of Ted Weiher, Jack Madruga, Bill Sterling, Jackie Huett, and Gary Mathias in the Plumas National Forest in Northern California. Four of these men had intellectual disabilities while one was diagnosed with schizophrenia. On Friday, February 24, 1978, they left the Yuba County, California area in Madruga’s 1969 Mercury Montego to attend a basketball game in Chico, California. Four days later the car they were traveling in was found abandoned on a snow-covered road in the mountains of the Plumas National Forest, some 75 miles in the wrong direction from home.Four jurisdictions of law enforcement would investigate and search for the missing men. Psychics were brought in, and there were strange reports of sightings of the five from numerous people. One witness came forward with an incredible story of seeing the men disappear into the forest that night. Yet every lead came to a dead end. About four months after they vanished, four of the five men’s remains were found some 12 miles from the car, with one discovered in a US Forest Service trailer with plenty of food and fuel to keep them alive for months.Once described as ‘Bizarre as hell’, the case of the Yuba County Five has baffled law enforcement and the families of the missing men for over 45 years. Tony Wright has meticulously researched this case, earning himself the reputation of being one of the foremost authorities on the subject, and his conclusions are likely as close as anyone will come to making sense of this tragedy.

Kit Klarenberg – Death of Epstein

When Jeffrey Epstein was found dead it halted a train which ultimately would have named his considerable contact book. Sex trafficker Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell supplied these services on both the ‘Lolita’ private jet and the many properties scattered throughout the world, including his own incredibly well CCTV’d private island.
Epstein’s death was convenient; it let a lot of dust settle and some powerful and rich people off the hook from being identified in a trial which could have literally brought down Governments and Royalty. Except…
The rumour mill started. Dummies, substitute bodies and a plan to scoot Epstein out from one of the most secure facilities in the US flooded conspiracy sites and podcasts. The circumstances leading up to his death and the death itself presents more questions than it answers. It also opens the door to the one tie that still exists to his client list, Ghislaine Maxwell, could well be found the same way.

Rabbit Hole - The Vanishing of Amelia Earhart & Fred Noonan

Chris Williamson joins Ed Opperman to talk about the enduring mystery of what exactly happened to aviator Earhart and her navigator Noonan.
In July 1937 Earhart took off on what was her second attempt to be fly around the world on board the Electra. It was to be a 12 hour flight which would take her into the next day and a scheduled landing in Hawaii. However she never made it.
Radio communication was difficult in that era, but conflicting reports of requests for help and low fuel are consistent throughout the story. When her plane ran into difficulties there was no rescue or recovery vessels in the area, possibly because of poor navigation which had forgotten the latitudinal time difference and therefore made a navigational error.
Despite searches – which have continued for decades throughout the sea and nearby Nikumaroro island, no trace of the plane, Earhart or Noonan has ever been found. This has lead to countless theories about what befell the plane.
Chris Williamson has been exploring this mystery from every angle for five years in his podcast. He tells Ed Opperman of the likely, the unlikely, the bizarre and the unsavoury notions put forth to try and resolve this enigma.

Eight months had passed since Cliven and hundreds of supporters, including heavily armed militia members, faced off against the federal government in a sandy wash under a highway overpass in the Mojave Desert. Now, here in the comforts of the Bellagio, six documentary filmmakers trained bright lights and high-definition cameras on Ryan. They wanted to ask about the standoff. Wearing a cowboy hat, Ryan fidgeted before the cameras. He had told this story before; that wasn’t the reason for his nerves. After all, the Bundy confrontation made national news after armed agents with the Bureau of Land Management seized the Bundy family’s cattle following a trespassing dispute and the accumulation of more than $1 million in unpaid grazing fees. But the Bundys, aided by their armed supporters, beat back the government, forcing agents to release the cattle and retreat."
Trevor Aaronson is an American journalist. He is a contributing writer at The Intercept and author of The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI's Manufactured War on Terrorism. He was a 2020 ASU Future Security Fellow at New America and a 2015 TED Fellow.
Aaronson is the creator and host of the documentary podcasts American ISIS, which tells the story of Russell Dennison, an American who joined the Islamic State as a fighter in Syria; and Chameleon: High Rollers, which investigates an FBI undercover operation in Las Vegas.
In January 2023, Aaronson launched a podcast series called Alphabet Boys about "secret investigations of the FBI, CIA, DEA, ATF, and other alphabet agencies". The first season, "Trojan Hearse", focuses on the summer 2020 COINTELPRO-like infiltration of antifa / Black Lives Matter protesters and activists in Denver, Colorado, following the murder of George Floyd in Minnesota in May 2020. The second season, "Up in Arms," tells the story of a DEA narcoterrorism sting that targeted a former FBI informant who claimed to work for the CIA.
Aaronson has won the Molly National Journalism Prize, the Data Journalism Award, and the John Jay College/Harry Frank Guggenheim Excellence in Criminal Justice Reporting Award.
