Arlis Kay Perry (née Dykema; February 22, 1955 – October 12, 1974)[1] was a newlywed 19-year-old North Dakota native who was killed in Stanford Memorial Church on the grounds of Stanford University on October 12, 1974. Her murder remains unsolved.[2]
Perry was found murdered in the church in the early morning hours of October 13, 1974.[3] Perry went to church at around 11:30 p.m. the previous night after an argument with her husband. Perry was sexually assaulted with altar candles but was not raped.[4] An ice pick was found jammed deep into the base of her skull during autopsy.[5]
David Berkowitz, the notorious "Son of Sam" killer from New York City, mentioned the Perry murder in a few letters, suggesting that he heard details of the crime from "Manson II", the culprit. In the San Jose Mercury News, Jessie Seyfer noted that "investigators interviewed [Berkowitz] in prison and now believe he has nothing of value to offer" regarding the Perry case.[6]
Perry's widower, Bruce D. Perry, MD, PhD, is a clinician and researcher in children's mental health and the neurosciences, and an internationally recognized authority on children in crisis.

This book by Alan Woods is essential reading for all those who want to understand what is happening in Venezuela today. But this is no mere description of events. It is a powerful Marxist analysis of the Venezuelan Revolution, its weaknesses and strengths, its contradictions and unique characteristics. The book was not written with hindsight., Every chapter, beginning with the coup of April 2002, was written as the events themselves were unfolding, and traces the winding course of the revolution. They reflect the immediacy and lightning speed of events happening before our very eyes.
Alan Woods has been a consistent champion of the Venezuelan Revolution since its inception. He helped initiate the Hands Off Venezuela Campaign. He has held personal discussions with Hugo Chavez, which are recounted in this book.
The author concludes that the Venezuelan Revolution cannot stop half-way and holds up the perspective of a victorious socialist transformation. Matt Reed joins Ed Opperman to discuss the class action against OSU for historical sexual abuse.
Ohio State University has paid out $60 million in settlement money in the last few years to hundreds of former students and athletes who say they were sexually abused decades ago by a school doctor.
Its former president has publicly apologized “to each person who endured” abuse at the hands of the late Dr. Richard Strauss.
And the university has repeatedly said it was on the side of the hundreds of men that Strauss preyed on from the 1970s to the 1990s, mostly under the guise of performing medical exams like hernia checks, which require a doctor to examine a patient’s genitals.
But faced with at least five more lawsuits from some 236 men alleging they too were molested by Strauss, OSU is now denying it ever “admitted” to any wrongdoing.
