She has lived in the Amazon and visited almost every major spiritual retreat she can, absorbing the energy, culture and knowledge, much of which is long lost to us in the west

Eric Walberg - Aldrich Ames Will Go Down in History as a Traitor Who Spied For the Soviet Union During the Cold War

Aldrich Ames was accused and convicted of working for America’s primary foreign adversary in the Cold War, the Soviet Union and was given a life sentence, which he is currently serving in Terre Haute, Indiana, as prisoner #40087-083.
Very few people today would celebrate what Ames did—and for good reason. Nevertheless, Ames became fed up with the hypocrisy and criminality of the CIA and U.S. government policy in the Cold War, and aimed to expose the bankruptcy of the Cold War and the ideology of American exceptionalism.

Robert Conlin - THE LEWISTON SHOOTINGS: An All-American Tragedy

Never again could anyone say, "It will never happen here!"
Because it did.
October 25, 2023 was just an ordinary night in Lewiston, a small, working class city of 37,000 in central Maine. Friends and families had gathered to do what they loved to do with the people they wanted to be with at a bowling alley called Just-in-Time Recreation Center and Schemengees, a popular sports bar and restaurant. They felt immune from the violent crime that seemed to wrack the rest of the country in a state that the FBI had just named the safest in America.
Then Robert Card II, a deeply paranoid Army Reserve soldier, walked into both places with a high-powered rifle and opened fire, killing 18 people and wounding 13 more. He then fled to a third location, where according to the evidence and the testimony of his best friend, he likely planned to lay in wait and kill his ex-co-workers when they came to work the next morning.
The tragedy is that the numerous red flags he had raised in the months before weren't enough to stop him before he carried out his terrible plan. A combination of watered-down gun control laws and law enforcement and military negligence made sure of that.

Brian Saady: America's Drug War is Devastating Mexico
It's no secret that drug cartels have wreaked havoc upon Mexico, but the examples provided in this book will be unimaginable for the average American citizen. The profits from the drug war have enabled the cartels to incorporate into paramilitarized forces and their exploits adversely affect the lives of every Mexican in a variety of ways, such as the destruction of the rule of law and freedom of the press, along with rampant embezzlement of public funds. Mexico's drug traffickers have become an omnipresent force of organized crime that terrorizes the entire nation. Furthermore, the government can't provide basic security for the average Mexican citizen. These criminals can act with impunity, in part, because the corruption of public officials and political offices reaches the highest levels.
Brian Saady is a tenacious researcher who provides a wealth of information that has never been published for an American audience. For example, there are several details included about the political coverup of the 2014 Iguala mass kidnapping (43 students) that have not been reported inside the U.S.
All in all, this is crucial reading material for anyone concerned about the human catastrophe that has unfolded due to America's war on drugs.
